Well it's been a while since i've posted on here figured I would do an update of what's been going on over the winter since I'm about 3 weeks from finishing this thing up.

 

Car on stock motor made 498/326 and went 10.3's @ 136mph

This year we put a new motor,turbo setup,fuel system, and chasis work into play. Had to change from the 6pt to a 10pt and make a parachute setup as well to get certified and get my license.

 

some major additions we are doing...

sleeved k20 block with cp's on manley rods

hybrid racing tensioner

s2k oil pump

ported head full supertech valvetrain

skunk 2 cams

New custom slowmotion turbo setup w/ precision billet 6768 turbo

dual precision wastegates

AFI intake manifold and intercooler

vibrant vanjen clamps

weldon 2015 fuel pump/filters

-10 feed/return lines

Competition Clutch twin disc/flywheel

thanks. your right on when you say that. especially the faster it goes the harder it is to get that extra tenth. dyno numbers probably won't be very high as we are going to finish tuning it at the track. probably stop at only 700on the dyno

One part that is going on my car that will make a huge part in how it gets down the track

 

NLR ams-1000 I believe it over the normal boost by gear will get me down the track .4-.5 quicker once I get it dialed in. Big problem in our cars is getting it to hook that's why they mph so good but some cars can only go 12's @ 130mph. I don't want to be going mid 10's @ 155mph or all this extra work would be for nothing

Always been an awesome car. Going to compete in the Sport Compact Shootout at Norwalk?

 

probably not just because I'm going to be cutting it so close anyway to getting it done for June 6th. That trip is in Michigan so if I do any TnT's I will stay down here. They aren't having a real class for FWD anyway so it would just be a TnT up there as well might as well save the money to use it for my Michigan trip

hopefully it is as reliable as the stock k series that was a soldier. and runs just as good. Tire is going to be a big part of getting to where you want to be...

 

Yeah man I hope so too. I got new wheels an inch wider slicks. Still going to run on the small 24.5'' tire I think with some dialing in with the time based NLR boost I can get the times down a bit.
