TimTaylor751647545500
Thought it'd be fun to post some pictures of my setup. Here's my 2002 Perception Carolina 14 without any of the fishing equipment mounted. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03569.jpg I installed some velcro strips inside the kayak where I can keep a laminated map of any body water I'm fishing (Hoover pictured) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03570.jpg Battery for the fish/depth finder http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03574.jpg My dry box I made from a piece from the Container Store http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03575.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03576.jpg All the equipment installed http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03578.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03579.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03582.jpg Adjustable PVC mount for the transducer http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03580.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03586.jpg Lexan mount for the fish/depth finder I made that connects to the Scotty tri-rod holder http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03588.jpg The anchor setup http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03583.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC03585.jpg That's pretty much it. Bahnstoermer1647545488
How many fish you caught from you driveway? Not really familiar with kayak fishing, looks like a new sport!

I have a bass & crappie box each that I keep inside the cabin with me between my feet along with my small lunch box cooler and small minnow bucket. hot_wire
Thats awesome.... if you hook a big enough fish it would be like having a small motor on there!
TimTaylor751647545500
Like this 26" monster I got last year in 3' of water on a minnow & bobber? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/TimTaylor75/kayak/DSC00693.jpg
hot_wire
Haha - yeah! Suddenly "reeling it in" becomes pulling yourself to where the fish is. Definitely not criticizing the setup. Looks like a riot. Any time spent on the water is time well spent.
TimTaylor751647545500
Went out today for about 4 hrs on Hoover. Got 20 crappie on minnows (till the gar scared them off) and my first ever large mouth bass on a spinner. There were gar all over the place at Two Bridges on the surface and I manged to snag one while going for a crappie, but it came off the hook. My first large mouth came from me casting down a large rock shore at two bridges with a $1 spinner from Walmart. I think I'm going to change my pattern and go for bass only from here on out. What a fight...something else seeing it jump out of the water while reeling it in.
