LS_Sonoma
Folks, Im looking for a cam recommendation for my Sonoma and its LS1. Currently it has a 4l60E and I plan to do around a 3000 stall. Heads are stock 853 with some .015 decking and 1.8rr's. plus 3.73 gears. Can anyone recommend a cam that is off the shelf that they HAVE used or ridden in a vehicle that had one. Vehicle will be for fun and not a drag machine. Weekend cruises with the wife and stop light fun. Thanks in advance. Edited May 22, 2010 by LS_Sonoma

Cordell
Had a Thunder Racing 224-112 cam, worked great. A certain car I worked on made over 400 rwhp with one, and it's not very radical. The 3000 stall I had was perfect with it, stock stall wasn't bad either.

Linn1647545492
since you're not going to want anything to big, you might want to look at the torquer cam or something like this 228 cam. http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=168&catid=44 http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=167&catid=

Billiumss
If your going to use a cam then you don't need the 1.8 rockers, you'll have issues. Any cam with 224 to 228 range will be fine for your application.
xlr8tn
I run the 228R on a 114 in my f-body. Good cam IMO.....very good street manners.
