New Hi Point 995TS

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know many people hate Hi Point sidearms. I've heard enough about them. Every review I've ever read about the 9mm carbine has been good to great though. My uncle bought one awhile back and sold it for more than he bought it for. Loved it' Said it's the ONLY Hi Point he'd trust his life too if he had to and he's owned Remingtons, Winchesters, Glocks, S&Ws, Colts, and the list goes on. Not that he would ONLY want this but said he loved it.

Anyways, enough of the defense wall, here it is. Traded in my Mossberg .22 bolt action also. All rounds were fired as is straight out of the box by myself (a novice) with no adjustments.

With added T handle.

Whole target. 50 rounds. Varied fire rates and distances.

2 clips, rapid fire, from 15 feet. The one on the left was intentional from another clip (EDIT: mag. I'm an idiot) just to test the draw and pull. The lower one is the same.

Left half = rapid fire at 50 feet, right half = steady fire at 100 feet.

That's it for now. When I get a chance to shoot more I'll give an update. BTW, no jams or probs with anything and I didn't buy the added grip until after I shot.

I had looked to pick up one of the older model HiPoint 9mm's, but by the time I was actually looking, they were all gone ramping up for the new model to come out. I know a lot of people that love the Hi Point Carbines. I had not read much on the new models, but it looks good so far.

They still had a few used ones, older style, left at Ohio Valley Outdoor yesterday if you're still interested.

Did you noticed what they are selling the used ones for?

Sure did. Looked at one. I think it was $160-170.

Heres the new red/green dot sight.

I'll buy one as long as they keep the price down. I have a feeling they're going to be over $400 and that's to much for me......

I've seen rumors of prices somewhere between $300-$400...but those were just rumors.

I'll stick with my 9MM for now and go from there. I'l wait probably a year then get the 4595.

supposed to come out with that model in .45acp in august :)

I will believe it when I see it. Hi Point has been talking about a model in .45acp since the original 9mm and 40 carbine came out. I have seen the photos of the test models in both designs, but the release keeps getting pushed back and back.

I have that same site and love it!

Good to know. Went out to my parents last night (in the country outside of Circleville) and by the time I mounted it and ran outside I had enough time to rip off 2 mags but no time to zero it at all. Hopefully I'll be out this Saturday.
