well, my fiance has always wanted a grey pit. so she spent a couple weeks looking for one until we came across this guy. we found him at a rescue. the rescue got him from georga where he was a day away from being thrown into a small box with a bunch of other dogs to be gased. the rescue says he is about a year old and already weighs 85lbs!! he is definitely going to be a big boy. the rescue says he is a full razor edge pit

Is he fixed? If he was a rescue, I'd assume he was but thought I'd ask. If he's razor's he'll be a good looking dog. Not a game strain, more for looks but generally that's better for a family, etc. Here's my blue little girl dusting my gf's dog thru the snow.

What's the deal with the insurence and such involved with owning a pitbull in columbus?

i dont know, i live in Shawnee (allen county)

insurance in general though, you need atleast 100k liability insuruance and about the only home owners insurance that will cover the breed is farmers.

Game lines/strains are the more game bred dogs. The dogs who are used for weight pulling, etc.... Razors Edge dogs, are bred for looks, and generally get really big and lazy. They are meant to look like the intimidating, but are bred with very calm, lines.

Here is a pic of my Edge boys. I have father and son...white/black (blue) is father...:

Obtaining Canine Liability Insurance for Your Pit Bull

To obtain canine liability coverage (the $100,000 coverage mandated by Ohio law), please contact:

The Ohio Insurance Exchange

112 E Main Street

Lancaster, OH 43130

800.473.1215 Phone

740.681.9997 Fax

Ohio Insurance Exchange bases their rates on breed, weight, age, gender and bite history. Proof of obedience training or other specialized training is also helpful because it demonstrates the responsibility of the owner.

Alternatively, if you have homeowner insurance or renters insurance, and it does not cover canine inflicted injures, talk to your insurance agent about purchasing a "personal umbrella liability policy." It is form of umbrella liability insurance for individuals and their families. It provides coverage for (1) excess liability over underlying liability coverage (homeowners, auto) and (2) some of the liability exposures excluded by underlying policies, which might include canine liability (but be sure to check!). There is no standard form for this kind of policy, but generally the form requires the maintenance of underlying homeowners and auto liability policies with minimum combined single liability limits of $300,000 each. The important thing is to ascertain that the umbrella policy under consideration does not exclude canine inflicted injuries.

i didnt know the ohio insurance exchange also did home owners. last time i checked with them, they wanted 600 every 6months for only my brown pit and that was just liability coverage on him. i couldnt imagin how much more they would want for my other two.

here are all three of them

They don't do home owners, they simply do "Vicious" Dog Insurance.

hes got a really good temperment, basically a big baby but he still needs a lot of training because he tends to be a little bastard at times.

+rep for the rescue man

Hit me up if you want training:D Love working with pits. Good looking dog.
