Stampede Posted August 28, 2010 Report Share Posted August 28, 2010 I'm not sure what is wrong with my home AC. The outside motor is not running, has power, but I can hear the coil humming. I had roughly the same problem, and I could hear the compressor "humming" or rather, straining to start-up.
