Bam
Just trying to see who all is in this field and what you do/have done over the years.... I'll be graduating shortly with a degree in Financial Management, and have a few years experience via Chase, but wanting to go another route and was looking for some local people to pick their brains. Thanks

Big Chief2011647545501
I was a manager of a trade desk for optionsxpress for awhile. I have my series 3,7,66. You need those if you plan on doing anything in this industry investment wise. If not good luck.

zeitgeist57
Better question is what do you want to do in finance? I know a few SAG (Special Asset Group) guys that are looking for portfolio managers/analysts to swim through the sea of bad loans banks have these days. Do you want to sell in front of people, or service work behind a computer?
AWW$HEEET
I interned at UBS. Brokers are stuckup dickheads. Avoid them.
Aaron
I am interested in the answers/info to this as well. I graduated in December from OSU with a Family Resource Management degree and was hired at Huntington in their operations department. I set up business products, almost all that Huntington offers. After my 1 year (Feb 2011), I will be looking for an advancement/new job. Personal banker/ARA/Sales rep are some of the obvious choices, but I was looking for some input from those with experience. I was told that most places will pay for you to get certified. Is this true? or is it better to have them before you apply?
