  • 2 weeks later...

Go to a nice Wine shop. They will have nice stuff and show you how they work.

What I use, but takes a little skill:

Easy to use:

Hey Mike, what do you recommend for a good quality easy to use wine opener? Looking to get one for the lady for xmas, and i don't know shit about them.

Don't want to thread jack but saw this and figured I'd add my .02.

I bought this for my mom last christmas, and with multiple weekly usage, it hasn't skipped a beat and is a breeze to use.

If you just want the opener for a tad cheaper and not the entire kit....here's it. It really takes no effort to open a bottle now.

I got hers at Polaris...

Butting out now...

I appreciate your input, but I've purchased these before and I really do not recommend them. The tards that work for me have broken or bent the screws on these types of openers within a week.

Sorry to hear, guess I should have mentioned it's better for personal use only. We have 2, one at each house, and haven't had an issue but it's always better to have more opinions.

Carry on.
