Hmmmm what to say in an introduction thread? Honestly never been in this position before as I can usually get on closed boards backdoor style, but anyways. Im sure some of you know me from OGF,Faslube,Valvoline etc (R.Reed B.Larue Fas-Taxi im sure you guys are all on here…not to mention my arch nemesis :chill:).

Used to roll a ’95 Eldorado in my “OG” days, always wanted to boost and race it, but the fkn thing had so much torque steer to begin with it really wasn’t worth it (not to mention re-programming the pcm is a godamn nightmare…google “mark 99sts”).

After a great deal of research I picked up a ’92 SC300 with the JDM Supra block (GTE), going to dice it out with the twin turbo package and should be cranking 500+ by summer (hopefully). Also going to drop a 5speed in it as the A340E is absurdly weak off the line until it hits 3rd.

Sorry for lack of pics, teh lex is under the knife right now, however it will look nearly identical to this work of art once I get done with it.

correct, the top end is the standard 2jz-GE, however the block is the GTE

"The engine block, crank, and connecting rods of the 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE are the same with the exception that the 2JZ-GTE has oil spray bars installed in the block to aid in cooling the pistons."

I think your going to want to do a bit more research. Just because its got the same internals doesn't make it the same. Unless some one physically swapped a 2jz-gte bottom end in and put a 2jz-GE head which is almost retarded because a 2jz-GE block setup is a high compression where as a GTE setup is low compression.

welcome to the site though.

Thats exactly what one of the previous owners did. Bottom end swap then put the GE head back on, I believe his intentions were to go with the full GTE setup but he ran out of $$$ and just threw the stock head back on. I have every intention of correcting his mistakes/finishing what he started

Nice ride ;)

I look forward to car trouble, so it aint no thang.

And I see im getting trolled already...wow, that didn't take long lol

You look forward to car trouble?

And you aren't getting trolled - if you think you are, then you might want to reevaluate your definition of trolling or get thicker skin.

And im not getting trolled in this thread, someone left me a comment which I found rather funny.

Did they leave their name or just leave it anonymous?

Anonymous flames are weaksauce. If you're going to flame someone, have enough balls to sign your name to it. That's what I think, at least.

I agree. A couple good English classes and some public speaking experience should cure the e-thug talk.

Welcome nonetheless. There are a few others here with that same ride. Listen to them, avoid their mistakes and one up what they have done right and you'll enjoy the process and car that much more. Toughen up the skin and understand that sometimes it's what you don't reply to that matters on CR. Don't feel compelled to respond to every comment.
