TurboNova
Thanks, I really think this is the ticket, my only other option is tighter ring gap and/or vacuum pump
TurboNova
Heading back to the dyno again this week to get the tune worked on from the the fuel pump change. I changed a couple things on the car as well. Got rid of those shitty GMPP valve covers and picked up a set of quality Nasty Performance Billet covers. I got the Kurt Urban vapor system all plumbed in and got the new breather line ran from the valley cover. Trying to get everything all together for this weekend goodguys hot rod show. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/b3fb4813.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/4696a24f.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0459.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0461.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/IMG_0460.jpg

TurboNova
Ended up being earlier this morning.... Took the car back out to Dynotune Motorsports and Brian put it up on the rollers, worked on the tune some more and amazed at how much the new fuel pump setup really helped the car, we had 4 pulls over 1000 whp with the highest being 1051 by accident. The final numbers that we settled on is 1017 whp and 1019 tq @ 17psi which is the same boost I made the 930whp at. With the help of brian really working on the tune and aid of the endless fuel supply injector duty cycle also went down to 75% and IAT were around 120* with it being over 90* and shitty airquality. Very Excited with my FINAL numbers Also the addition of the valley vent worked out GREAT! No more issues at all with crankcase pressure. Only a few small bugs I want to work out now and then just enjoy the car. Here is the graph will post vid here in a few http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/1972nova/Scan.jpg

starkmaster03
Sweet, that's the numbers you were looking for isn't it?
TurboNova
yes, I was very happy with the 930 numbers but to be honest, I did have a little dyno queen in me and wanted the 4 digit number to hang on my fridge. I knew it could make it, just depended on how much boost. Luckily with the new fuel pump setup and brian working the numbers the same boost that I made the 928 I made with the 1017

TurboNova
Well last night I went ahead and wired up the trans brake and the 2 step, I set it to 3400 and this morning went out and switched it on and built 5lbs with ease on the wastegate spring with no c02. I released it and of course it blew the tires off but it was cool to see it work and I am looking forward to this sunday if weather holds to get it into the 9s. Mattsv8
Id guess a little lower. If it leaves with 5psi and the nose stays down. Id guess a 1.40 60 and withyour top end speeds at 150. Should be a low 9 or a high 8. Launching w all that tq it won't be the same car.

Launching w all that tq it won't be the same car. yeah we will see, Im not going to say an exact number so there is no disapointment. I do know that when I was at the track for 1/8 mile at 120 per the conversion that was on point to go 150 footbraking it. So I am looking forward to seeing it with boost off the line and shaving my 2.0second 60 ft down. I know my single adjustable front shocks and 3 way rears will be my weak point now. I ordered a set of AFCO double adjustable rear shocks but wont have them installed this year. Ill probably have to weld in a upper shock mounting bar between the frame rails and mount the shocks inboard the AFCO bodies are huge. I think my end goal for the car would be 8.50's@160-165...I may take some time but id like to get there I am contemplating getting rid of my QA1 single adjustable coil overs in favor of going back to a coil spring and AFCO Double Adjustables up front. I hate spending 1500 in shocks but, I really would like to control rebound and compression
