SpaceGhost
Just want to see what people think my car was worth, 90k miles on an 05. Every option available for that year including STi short throw, boost gauge, and homelink autodimming compass mirror. Throw some numbers at me, be honest, no hurt feelings will be had, what you would pay for the car if you wanted it and it wasn't crashed. I want to see if the Insurance Company is being fair. Please don't ask what they want to give me, I know the figure, they have already given me a second offer, I rejected the first, I want an unbiased opinion. Thanks in advance for your time. Can we please keep this serious? Edited December 24, 2010 by Benjamin
TurboNova
Off topic kind of but what is the percentage of the settled amount that insurance companies let you buy a car back?

gaewsky1
I agree with the above 16-17 grand. Edmunds has a few on dealer lots with close mileage around 19 grand.
Nitrousbird
15k. Looking on Autotrader, yours was in the high end for mileage for 05 STI's. Looking at asking prices for models with far fewer miles, I'd say 15k tops if the car was in pretty good condition. You can fine too many other ones with half the miles asking 16.5-19k (and knowing you can likely knock 1k+ or more off the asking price on a number of them). Tripleskate
$15-17k This, first thought was $15k due to miles. I then thought about the "adult-owned, never raced" angle you could put on it, so between $15-17k.
evil8
15,500 but they offered you 13,500 or less
Forrest Gump 9
With those miles, $15k top. Good luck.

1fast5gp
I'd say 17k, but wouldn't take anything lower than 19k from the insurance company. I mean if I were to buy one from the dealership same condition same milage, invest all the money into the parts/AP/Protune. It would run me about 19k, which is the cost of replacing the car. Which is what the insurance company is suppose to give you.
TTQ B4U
Look for comps within 30-50 miles of Cbus. Ones that are in similar condition to your car. They will likely be looking at various book prices and comps to determine what yours was worth.

Patterson
Given the mileage, I'd say between 11-13K. I'm guessing it was crazy clean, and well cared for, but the mileage would be considered on the high side.
Got-Boost?
Plenty going for $20k on auto trader but realistically $14-16k.....(mind you I would never pay that due to the miles alone, regardless if it were perfect and looked new). They are probably thinking even lower than $13k because it's been in a few wrecks before correct?
