Wall mount LCD

I helped my dad hang a 55" above their mantle, into the brick. I was skeptical as well, but whatever masonry anchors he bought held great, because I hung my 190 pound self from the mount before we placed the TV and it didn't budge.

All that said, I would have a hard time trusting a drywall-mounted setup unless I found studs.

yea its definitely in the studs, i just worry about the pop can metal mount.

Ok its not pop can metal, but still not the most sturdy thing. Oh well if it falls and breaks then i guess I got my money out of it. Its 6 years old and i paid $300 for it.

Greg we had a 65 inch tv mounted at best buy an I did pull ups on it.

I recommend upgrading the bolts from home depot the stuff that it comes with are cheap

Other then that make sure the stud is good an sturdy an you'll be fine old man

Man I've got my 63" mounted on the wall and you can do pull ups all day long from it no issues. I install at least three flat screens a week and I've never had one come down. The whole key as stated above is to make sure you hit the studs. Anchors can work but without hitting studs it's a crapshoot. As for the metal on the mount being thin don't worry it's the way the weight is distributed that makes the difference. I usually find the studs, pre drill the holes with a small drill bit, then usually use bolts that require a 12mm socket and ratchet. After some elbow grease and a small workout you'll have a very solid mount setup.

Wall mounted our 47" LED-LCD in the bedroom using this mount: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082802&p_id=6434&seq=1&format=2

Yes, a whopping $11.68 and it works great. But unless you have an LED-LCD, don't bother - it is a huge PITA to install because the TV sits so close to the wall, and hard to get the wires behind it recessed enough. Use a .75" - 1.5" mount instead of this .3" mount with thicker TV's. I have it mounted into two studds, no problem.

I also have one of my 22" monitors wall mounted using this mount: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082802&p_id=4565&seq=1&format=2

And my kitchen 24" LCD using this mount: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=109&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082802&p_id=4854&seq=1&format=2

Monoprice mounts are inexpensive and high quality. I trust my TV's with them.

We had our 130lb 65" Panasonic hanging from a bracket with four anchor points. It was strong And held well. The bracket had 6 anchor points but since I finished the basement I framed the wall in such a way that I wouldn't need it.

my tv is hanging on a mount i got from them as well and no issues. the tv flexes more than the tv mount does.
