Well I was extremely surprised about all the attention I got in my Noob thread. People liked alot of the work I was showing, and seem very interested in future updates and what not. I would have loved to answer some questions you guys had in my noob thread, but for some reason I was barred from posting in it. So without further ado this is my 16/17 year old Prelude Shave tuck and paint build!!!

I will start from the very beginning with my first update!! Throughout all the updates i post up fairly quickly you will notice that things that I want to do change often.. :)

Also shout out to silkyjohnson#1hater at Wireworx harnesses for sponsoring the build!!!

So just recentley I bought a 1993 honda prelude VTEC with 205k miles quarter panel rust, and cooling problems. But you cant beat $525 bucks for it!

The plans right now are to fix the cooling problems, the rust, paint, and we are looking at buying a new H22A from hmotorsonline.com. We also plan on cleaning up the engine bay in between the motor swap. We have a welder and thought we would put it to use. Also, other plans consist of suspension work. We will be somewhat slow and low. 8)

Thanks. I feel pretty lucky to have this and be 16, and working on it with my dad. Should be great fun! And it was beat. haha Also there were mice in the car. :/

But in attempt at finding his little nest, we just started taking **** off. And we need to fix the AC controls because something was wrong with the cable, or we were missing a piece. So it started as just finding the mice. And turned into alot more. And the refurbishing starts here.

Just the trunk all cleaned up. It was gross. Wires galore from the person who made it all janky.

I think that use to be the OEM sub's place. IDK

ALOT of wires we ripped out

All the stuff all organized, and everything labeled. Organized=The way I like it!

There was much more added as well.

Thats the last of em.

Guy from my dads work forgot the equipment to do the compression test. But we were able to do a leak down test. And everything seemed good. And we didnt find anything wrong with the head. But ne ways, just have 2 photos for now. The seats were out and everythign was cleaned spotless! Makes me love the car again even with the rust! And no mice!

We turned back the years on this car! ****ty ENV 1 pics dont do the interior justice. Speaking of turning back years, this car was made on the same exact day I was born. Same day, month and year. I thought that was cool. And the time that it actually was off the assembley line was dated aswell. So Im actually about 8 hours older. hahaha!

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs526.snc3/29926_387806486098_741701098_4137543_6792948_n.jpg

Not stains on the seats, just the way the grain is setting.

BTW for now Im not building it. Just returning it kind of to OEM, but will do suspension work, and looking at getting some sprinthart cpr's. And some engine stuff. But its all about making it run good, and make it look good. Then after that. Who knows.

But fortunately for me my dad does bussiness with a guy that does about $900k worth of body work on his trucks. And he said he would hook us up with paint. So +1 for that. And he also said he could get us deals on body panels. And we will just weld those in. But stay tuned. -.-

This is the liquid that dripped out of the motor hose inlets. Its suppose to be green, but instead is a uncirculated rusty brownish color. hahaha

Those are holes in the old radiator. I decided i would play hookie from school today and pull it, its much more fun than school! haha

Not much. But a little progress, alot for me though, considering school for 10 hours a day.

Core support that was bent way way back!

Hard to tell in this pic, but the core support is as straight as a ruler.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y269/xmod_supra/0602002115.jpg

Lastly, I was going to take bolts and brackets off and paint them, but ended up taking off motor mounts! hahaha... but got those blasted and painted! :)

Again not much.

HUGE ANOUNCEMENT!!!! Tonight my father and I replaced all of the cooling stuff that we planned. And not only did coolant finally start flowing and cooling the motor. But the fans came on which I was sure were all broke. And the car no longer has a bad idle!!! It idles great and does not even fludder or consider stalling out. I ♥ my prelube again!!!! Now I need a new exhaust.

Anyone have one for sale.

Ill take pictures of the stance when I get the rear done tonight. Im proud of myself too.. My parents gone for a week (aka my dad the true mechanic gone) and I was able to do this with no real suspension experience.

Car lowered. Big thanks to my friend Ben coming over and helping me on the rears. BTW the car looks great, and Im tucking major tire in the front.

Dude my thumbs are killing me.

After 180 grit. Bad Cell pic.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y269/xmod_supra/0718001853.jpg

Im pretty mcuh done with 600 Grit now. Ill take

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y269/xmod_supra/0718002305.jpg

Ok this is after sanding with 600 grit. As you can see the scratches from the grittier sand papers are slowly coming out. The whole point of using finer paper (for those who dont know) every new step is to take out the lines of the previous sand paper. But the wheels are starting to come out nice. Ill take a pic of the finished wheel, and what it used to look like. All I have to do now is wet-sand the wheel with 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000. Then polish it with mothers polisher. I may paint the inside of the spokes gold first.

This is after wetsanding it with 800 grit.

And this is what it use to look like.

First wheel polished. BTW the angles or shadows make the shine look poopy. But it really looks good.

Not a shame I dont think. I really dont plan on using these. And Not planning on DD'ing the car. haha. It has enough miles as is. But I may be able to get more out of these wheels now that they are polished rather than when they were all dirty and pitted.

Got my midpipe and gaskets today, and some hangers.

Two very happy cars to be out of the elements...

Your welcome for the good pic too.

I also did some work... Haha washed it dried it, waited for salt to appear, washed it again and kept doing this till no salt showed...

I also removed the rear quarter weather stripping.... There is a little bubbling going on, on the driver side quarter, about the size of 1/2 a penny... No biggie tho.

Stitch or spot welds I welded in. Im really thinking about leaving these in just the way they sit, not grinded... Kinda adds an old look, and it kinda breaks up the total smoothness.

I have been talking to Xavier at Wireworx. His name is silkyjohnson#1hater on honda-tech. He makes tucked harnesses for all kinds of Chassis/Motor combinations. And we have decided to take our relationship to a sponsorship level. He makes great quality harnesses and will be the person doing Zac's K24 Prelude. So hopefully next week I will be sending out my harness to him.

Hey guys!

Today got something done. I polished a head light! Haha i only did one but I just want to show how awesome it came out... Thats the main reason of the update.

First I wetsanded the headlight with 1000 grit paper, then with 1500, and 2000. After that I used a Mother power ball buffer that you put on your drill to buff the headlights. But first I used Mothers ALUMINUM MAG POLISHER on my headlights! I know people say plastic polish. But in all honesty it dont seem to matter. Infact the Aluminum polisher worked better cause its a bit more coarse of a polisher.

On to pics.

Also BTW we are loading the car on to a trailer tonight so we can be ready to leave at 6 AM tomorrow morning. I will update Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday again saying the progress that was done. Lets see what we can get done in 5 days.

Here we go all loaded up ready for its road trip to the body shop!

http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/200089_10150144002176099_741701098_6745829_6016833_n.jpg

Spoiler or no spoiler?

But anyhow I have 2 updates totally unrelated to each other.

First update, we transported the car to the body shop with no problems. The body shop thing is going to work out awesome!!! Took a tour of the shop, looked at the paint booth, and paint mixing room I will be using, and met the guys i will be working with who enjoyed making ricer jokes!!! lol... I will start on the car monday, we will probably fix the rust spots in a day. Then the next two days we will focus primarily on the engine bay since there is bare metal. We will get it fully shaved and we will have the bay in self leveling primer. May or may not start prepping for paint. But I know i will be painting some of their customer's cars so i can learn how to do that! So Updates updates updates galore this next week.

Second update is my teins are done being rebuilt and will be here today. Ill post a pic when I get them.

I also finished both headlights so I figured I would take a picture on such a beautiful day!

Of course my last Tein update included pics of GReddy. So without any further ado, GReddy cleaning up Teins bubble wrap!

Thanks for being patient and waiting for Monday's update!!! I know you all are anxious... haha

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/198997_10150147381691099_741701098_6777274_6069577_n.jpg

Some people dont like it. But 3M glue is better than welding IMO, no warping or anything. And wont rust on the opposite side. However i still welded other holes.

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/208080_10150147381886099_741701098_6777281_7041584_n.jpg

Glue on the seam that can and will be sanded, then will be skimmed over with evercoat or whatever... It was between self leveling seam sealer or glue, but glue was stronger so we went with it.

http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/195901_10150147382056099_741701098_6777287_3636730_n.jpg

will be sanded and skimmed also.
