Quality pics. My critique there, use low f/stops. f/11, f/16 and up is crazy high. f/2.8 would be ideal. Thinks suspension low; match your f/stop like you do your car.....low. Would really isolate the car.

Not my photo, but here's thinking of you man.....even this one should be lower.......needs moar-low. Pun absolutely intended.

Here's a very quick PP of yours. Today was a decent day. Get the sun either really early or very late in the day. Tripod and drag that shutter if needed. Again.....think low. Sun low in the sky.

^ that one is ugly

Maybe so, but the bokeh is what I'm trying to focus him on. So in a sense, ironic.

Tim, thanks for the pointers!

To be honest, I just set the D90 on auto and let the camera do the rest. The only thing I rarily mess with is the Manual focus function when I want to focus on something that the camera doesn't exactly understand what I'm trying to do.

I also just got a MacBook Pro and don't have Photoshop or anything yet, so best I could do editing them was play with the saturation and color adjustments, which I was kind of going after a de-saturated look with less warmth. I would love to do a better version of the blurring that you did because that's exactly what I want, but again.. no quality editing software yet.

What's the benefit of running stretched tires? I'm just curious.

And it is very clean. I like it. I never see it around Columbus wherever I'm up there. Nice weather driver only?

Well, let me ask you this. Judging from the pictures, do you think I could run a 225 or even a 195 on those wheels without rubbing?

....That's the benefit of stretching tires :D

Oh, and it's my summer daily.

No worries. Set it on Aperture Priority, ISO 100 and f/2.8 if your lens allows you to go that low.

Link me to some samples of what you're looking for. I can do the rest to whichever image you would like. Maybe I'll continue to play with these as they are good images and link you to some outcomes. I love the practice.

Nothing wrong with jpegs.

Nothing wrong with jpegs, but a much higher bit-depth RAW will produce better more forgiving results. Especially if any Post Processing is done.

I hope its terrible because the photo was downsized.

I wouldn't call the result terrible. It's a quick edit using what is available. The results are due to down-sampling that occurred at several points along the way between the camera through posting on the web and then my downloading, editing, saving again and reposting it.

Gotcha. Good deal. Do you have a mac or pc for editing? Ever use mac aperture?

Intell PC. i7-950 12GB RAM, now overclocked to 4GHz. Have not used Aperture. I use a Macbook Air for work but nothing for photos.
