Draco-REX
One of the comments: "Not insured?" Yeah, because Allstate will just drop off another one-of-250 car by the end of the week. Kudos to the ingenuity. I'm sure that was a spur-of-the-moment stroke of genius.

Guest Spam
That house seems to be raised a decent amount off the ground. Almost as if they purposefully built it that way. Interesting. Edited May 6, 2011 by Spam
JaSSon
Why does that house to see be stupid far off the ground. Looks as if the build the house to withstand 20 feet of water. What did you just (try) to say?

No, it was an accident it was built high. Someone just couldn't read plans and it ended up that high by mistake.
AJ
did you guys notice that a lot of houses built on the water are built up high like that? must have the same stupid company building them all over the world.
iwashmycar
Is everyone kidding? I can't tell lol You cannot have living space under the flood plain. When you are that close to the water you can bet that you'll be up pretty high. Example. We recently had a apartment / garage renovation in the middle of Lancaster and couldn't rebuild the bottom apartment due to it being in the flood plain... It is now just a garage. There was no water around it at all.

iwashmycar
that is true. its also possible to be right on water with no flood height at all.

During the Oakland wildfires, a guy who had two Porsches saved them both by driving one a couple blocks, running back for the other one, driving it two blocks past the first one, running back and driving the first one two blocks past the second, and on and on until both were out of danger.
