Hi to all, I'm Andrew and I have been meaning to join Columbus Racing for a while and just now got around to doing so. My dad got me into cars at a very young age and in the past 5 years mainly Oldsmobile.

A lot of people ask me why Oldsmobile? Well I personally like to be unique and to most younger car people today Oldsmobile does not even register in their mind as having anything to do with performance. So thats why I choose Olds. This has not been my first Olds either. Before this I had a 1988 Cutlass supreme classic with a stock 72 350 and th350 3speed as well.

So heres my ride. 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Car came with a blown up 307 5.0L V8 that was taken out the second day I had the car. From the day I tore the motor out of the car I started my build with a 1972 Oldsmobile 350. Motor is standard bore, 10:1 compression, comp cams dual energy cam, aluminum intake, 800CFM Q-Jet, Hedman headers, dual flowmaster exhaust with X-pipe. This is all backed up by a built TH350 3 speed with 2.56 gears in the rear. All work to this car has been done by me. The only thing I was unable to do was the machine work.

Looking forward to meeting some new people that are into cars around Columbus.

Heres a couple pics.

Welcome to CR. Good for you that you're not afraid of taking a car like that to the track and spending time modding it. I'm impressed that you've done the work yourself.

That's not your father's Oldsmobile, is it? ;)

Good intro and welcome. I miss my 83' HURST. She was my first car and while fun, should have had more than the 180hp she came with. http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/116953123

Thanks,

I have been looking for a 83 Hurst or a 80s 442 since I got my first Cutlass. I am not a big fan of the 84 Hurst because of the gray but if I found one right I would pick it up. I do agree with you that the 180hp rating did not do those cars justice.

Good luck. Mine is still around, but it's in Noble county likely on a 4x4 frame and rusted to hell by now. I sold it to my inlaws back in the 90's then they sold it to a neighbor who's son had it for a while. I loved that car. As a child of the 80's the HURST and Chevy MC SS's were classics to own.

Welcome to CR. Went thru a bit of an Olds phase myself many, many years ago. I got away from the v8's when the Olds Quad 4 came out. I had a Calais 2door with the 190hp Quad4 and 5sp. Nothing to sneeze at back in '91. That and my little tweaked out TR7 ate alot of 80's Camaros and the like back in HS. lol
