REPOST but whatever....more rep/hits for my bud Bill...

- They need a bigger runoff

- A better launch would have easily netted a few more MPH. I am sure that bike is a bitch to launch though...

There is no reason to launch harder, the 1-Mile tracks have ZERO prep. According to the logs he was already spinning, a harder launch would have just made him go sideways worse.

Don't worry, he'll be back with some modified fairings and shoot for 290+ and probably over 300mph+ in 1.5-Mile if he can make it to Loring this year... ;)

Would 65k plus cost of the bike be a close estimate to how much they have into that bike? Extremely badass wouldn't mind experiencing that a couple times

Parts cost less, but man hours Bill has spent way more. That's his old bike which has already been sold to Billy Shoemaker and Bill Warner built another bike that went 311mph at Loring. He's trying to go 300+ in 1-mile next and is pretty close.

If you search he has a video at the last Texas Mile where he wheelied at 260mph and let up but crashed in the shut down on the pavement transition around 100mph. Didn't do much damage to the bike but he had a few injuries. He'll be back once hes all healed up...
