well last night i started the tear down and intercooler mock up. few pics

Linn, there will lots of kits eventually. There will be a truck manifold setup that will lose the a/c but keep the stock k-member. Then there will be a setup using the c6 manifold which will allow you to keep a/c but require BMR's k-member

When do you want my car to make the C6 manifold kit?

Linn is ur k member the reg 003 bmr or the turbo specific one it will require the turbo specific one to clear the compressor. Mine will be a ac kit reason I'm making the truck mani kit first is I want the ac kit to keep the turbo in the exact same spot that way the only diff is the crossover all other piping will stay the same. So u could get a 70mm or 76mm non ac kit or 70 mm or 76mm ac kit and hopefully u could fit a pt88mm with the rad stood upright if need b. U never know when u need a 88mm in a street car! Mine wil b a 76mm for a good while. I'm also getting dyno numbers with the 70 mm and 76mm plus the 76mmm on e85!

I'm sure I have the regular k member as it's been on my car for over 2 years. What is the best way to tell the differance between the two?

 

So you would not be able to keep the A/C compressor with the crossover pipe and the regular k member?

 

I honestly would not want to run anything smaller than an 88mm on my car.

The turbo k member has 2 beams that drop to the middle are bent to give more room the reg one is straight. I may look into making a 47 88 fit but chad don't sell this size turbo. I'm. Shure if enuf ls kits sell and interest is shown maybe u could talk him into it. Anything bigger than a 76mm turbo of chads I couldent garentee would fit with the rad in the stock location. If u stand it upright I've seen 106s done that way. Yes u can run ur bmr k member and up to a 88 if u ran 3.5" exhaust. Ill know a lot more one I get to fabbing the truck kit.

I'll work on Chad as I've been trying to get him to put a kit together for some time. If you stand the radiator up do you have to remove the fans as well?

The ones I've seen with a 88 mount it high so they can make the downpipe fit a slim design puller can get used only on the pass side of the rad ud need a pusher on the driver and that's. With the rad upright. Building these 2 kits will eat enuf time for me maybe down the line id make a big single or a twin kit for 2 76s. I just don't need them for my power goals. And I have to make the kit so chad can sell them to most people. And usually 600+ wheel and ac is good enuf. My main goal is to be 100 percent street car w 700+ whp and high 9 ets.

ur ls sanoma would be diff then the car truck kit you can mout the turbo higher. and your a lil cramped length wise so it would mount front to back and dp would go over the mani and then down turbo on pass side. up to a 76mm prety easy!!

Got a ton done tonight thanks to steve comming over got it to the point I could mock up the ac kit but I'm doing the truck mani kit first so I have to unbolt the ac compressor.. then its mock up time! Got a lot of pics ill post them once I wake up. Thanks again steve! Awsome progress.

Matt- looks good! I take it your not using a stock hood? ;)

 

Where did you get that intercooler- it looks like a big one? Do you think you will need to upsize the electric fans with that much frontal area loss for the radiator? Is that a master power turbo?
