Audio/electonics help needed

I just bought a boat. The previous owner just installed a new Kenwood head unit. It flips forwad and has a storage compartment for an mp3 player/phone/etc... However, it only has USB and iPod connectors. I have a DroidX, laptop, PSP3000, etc. Is it even possible to adapt either of the existing connectors to a 3.5mm mini jack so I can plug in one of my devices? Does such an adapter exist? I've been searching but can't find it. School me. I do have an iPod mini but I hate it. So I'd really like to connect one of my other devices.

Google is your best friend but yes you can get a USB to 3.5 adaptor from either online or radio shack. Should be really easy. I believe you can output from the hdmi out on the droid x if I remember correctly. I could be wrong on that though, it's been a while since I had my droidx.

Maybe I am misread something. Couldnt you just load music onto a usb and plug that into radio?

That USB drive idea is a good one. The unit is a KMR-700U, BTW.

USB to 3.5 won't work, its look for a disk drive not analog audio input. You can for sure get a ipod dock to 3.5mm adapter online, maybe even one with a USB out so you can charge as well.
