Rustlestiltskin
people register for stupid shit for their wedding reception, i see it no differently than asking for $. The dollar dance is a tradition older than you or I I know about the registering for bridal shower and the dollar dance. What I got from her post is that she's going to set up some Donations table or what not where people would have to give money to her. Maybe I read it wrong. :fuuuu:
AWW$HEEET
The dollar dance is a tradition older than you or I fund a honeymoon off the dollar dance? they wanna go to the grand canyon, not bw3 wing night dude.

99FLHRCI
lol'd at asking people to make honeymoon donations at your wedding. It is already a given as a guest to either bring a gift or some token of money for the bride and groom in celebration of their marriage. But to ASK people to give money to you instead of just letting them and not saying anything is pretty ignorant. There is no TASTEFUL way in asking/begging for money from your guests at your own wedding that you invited them to. You can register for a honeymoon just like registering for gifts. Patterson
Nothing wrong with cash. Most people will ask ahead of time anyways. If they know you're in a house already, they'll give cash cause its easier. And you can get exactly what you want We walked out of the reception with nearly 3k when Monika and I were hitched. Granted there was 150+ people there, and a good bit came from immediate family but if they know you then they know what you need.

mrs.cos
You can register for a honeymoon just like registering for gifts. There are actually websites that help you do this too. I wish i could find the link to the place friends of ours used. The request was actually put in the bridal shower info, and not the wedding invite, as a polite way to keep the request for gifts out of the actual wedding invite. LJ
fund a honeymoon off the dollar dance? they wanna go to the grand canyon, not bw3 wing night dude. It's for your spending money or to help pay for a part of it. If you get $200 that is typically a good chunk of your airfare
2pointslow
Linda Cole-740-965-2510 She makes amazing cakes at a very affordable price. She is our go to when having any event. Her icing is the best i have ever tasted and her cakes are always moist. She will have you come out to her house for a cake tasting, you can choose any flavors you want to try. Her strawberry is the best cake i have ever had.
verse
Farkas' mom made my wedding cake as our gift. It was delicious and a super nice looking cake. It was a 3 tier cake that looked like gift boxes stacked with poka-dots.I couldn't ask for better. I wish I had a picture online somewhere. It looked just like this one but 3 tiers of course. http://images.pinkcakebox.com/cake1031.jpg Shoot him a PM, she does it in her free time. So I'm unsure if she makes them for random people, but all she could do is say no.

Guest Hal
Be Bridezilla, bitch when people give opinions you disagree with. :dumb: Pro tip: Do what you want, don't ask CR for advice unless you're inviting all of CR.

Trouble Maker
You can register for a honeymoon just like registering for gifts. Yup, my sister had some of the dumb shit that they had 2 of already, but she also registered for excursions. I got her one of them since I hate the commercialism of peolple asking for nicer versions of shit you already have so they can just throw their old stuff away. Guest Hal
Sry we dont have 40k to spend on our wedding! We have to do things within our means and we both love cheryls cookies, I dont believe I asked if you liked them. I asked which you would rather have... No bitching here. Nothing to see at all. P.S. You don't need $40k to have a really nice wedding with excellent food. P.P.S. He obviously prefers cake because he thinks Cheryl's Cookies taste like shit. He simply expanded upon his answer for you. If you just wanted blanket answers (i.e., A or B), ask a mod to put a poll up. P.P.P.S. Cheryl's Cookies taste like absolute shit. They're terrible and I don't know how that company made enough money to buy some prick a bunch of cars he couldn't drive. P.P.P.P.S. Learn to budget and follow my first pro tip.
