Doc1647545523
An American production car. Well, stranger things have happened (e.g., Cordell buys a Miata, Anthony and Tina start coming to Sawmill, CR gangs up on Hal). I'm loving what Ford is doing with this 2012 Shelby GT350: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2012%20Ford%20Shelby%20GT350/110831074632CBA_7278_jpg_900x900_q100.jpg Supercharged V-8, 5.0 liters, 32v, 624 hp/512 lb-ft, 0-60 3.9 secs, 3926 lbs. http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2012%20Ford%20Shelby%20GT350/110831080243CBA_7332_jpg_900x900_q100.jpg First impressions from Winding Road compared it to a Ferrari 428 Italia, but with this caveat: "See, both the Shelby and the Ferrari are fast—that is without question—but driving the Italia at speed is a bit like creating art on the road, while driving the GT350 is more like taking someone’s virginity. In their parents’ bedroom. With the lights on. So, while both cars are, to put it blandly, fun, the Shelby experience is far more tawdry, dirty, and chest-swelling than that of the stunning Italian." http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2012%20Ford%20Shelby%20GT350/110831075337CBA_7296_jpg_900x900_q100.jpg http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2012%20Ford%20Shelby%20GT350/110831084515CBA_7439_jpg_900x900_q100.jpg It seems to me that Ford is getting it right and is more than ready to give GM a good race. Here's the whole review: http://www.windingroad.com/articles/reviews/driven-2012-shelby-gt350-convertible-624hp/ And, if you can stand the minute or so of fluff at the beginning of this video, the ending is worth it: Enjoy! http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/2012%20Ford%20Shelby%20GT350/110831090805CBA_7582_jpg_900x900_q100.jpg Edited September 18, 2011 by Doc

SRTurbo04
Soo can we see doc in one in spring 2012?
Littleguy
Hmm....I really like the car, but I feel like it would be funny seeing you in one...I would be worried about the rest of your hair blowing away in the wind.
Doc1647545523
Paul: Soo can we see doc in one in spring 2012? Doubtful. Like most object lust, I dream about it for about a day, then it fades. Right now my plans are for fewer possessions, not more. But that doesn't mean that I won't try to find one to test drive. Silly. I only have one strand of hair, but I cunningly comb it in a swirl to fool people into thinking that I haven't started losing my hair. carl1647545492
This is Clarkson worthy "See, both the Shelby and the Ferrari are fast—that is without question—but driving the Italia at speed is a bit like creating art on the road, while driving the GT350 is more like taking someone’s virginity. In their parents’ bedroom. With the lights on. "
pontiacfreak142
nice doc, i could see you driving that lol. i do like those cars. i read an article on them a little while back. you can even get them with just bolts on to, as well as like 2 blower options ( last i read anyway)
Crossle
Not my cup of tea, I like a simple design and to me the car feels "over the top" as far as exterior appearance goes. Although I like the fronts of these newer Mustangs the back of the car just does nothing for me. Performance is impressive, but not enough to make up for it's visual appearance. 2highpsi
Do it! I'll even order you one in at X-plan if you take me for a ride.
Dr. Apex
I like the back end with the center exhaust.
oh8sti
That's a cool looking car. I like the new mustangs a lot. Brady at PPC certainly got me into them. Bang for buck is strong with the 5.

Ian_12
Wonder if they will ever do independent rear suspension on them. But I love that analogy of the driving feel.

Cordell
Have we met? Your name sounds familiar, but I don't remember you. Well with you being old and slow I'm usually way ahead of you by the time you get going, I suppose that would make me easy to forget when you can't even keep up. Let me jog your memory http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0415.jpg
Doc1647545523
Yes, yes, thank you so much. I remember that view of your Camaro. It was in the parking lot, after you blew up racing my Benz at NTR, and you were waiting for a trailer, right?
Cordell
Yes, yes, thank you so much. I remember that view of your Camaro. It was in the parking lot, after you blew up racing my Benz at NTR, and you were waiting for a trailer, right? You remember because you've seen it a few times, even at night. I'll bet it looked good bathed in the beautiful HID lighting of your old Benz.
