Mensan
Chronic inflammation in my shoulder after workouts has me concerned. The symptoms (inflammation and the need to be 'popped') have gotten slightly worse in the last few weeks. I want to see a doctor (NOT a chiropractor, a real doctor) and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding who I may want to see. Thanks in advance. KennyFKINPowerz
My wife had 2 shoulder surgeries from a fall on ice at work. Dr. Wilcox at Cardinal Orthopedic in Westerville did both of her surgeries and is really good.
Wheezle
Dr. Raymond Tesner @ Sports Medicine Grant 614-461-8174 He has done two surgeries on my shoulder and two on my knee and is a great Dr.
Mensan
PM Kirk I did that at the same time I posted this. Thank you both ^ that's exactly what I was looking for. I am hoping for a non-surgical solution. I understand that if it's just an inflammation that I may even be able to heal while continuing to exercise. I have made significant gains in the last 8 weeks and don't want to slow down.

evan9381
Kirk sent me to Dr. Brent Bickel at cardinal ortho in gahanna/blacklick (on Taylor rd near mt carmel) when i broke my wrist a couple months ago. he did an EXCELLENT job, had to have a plate and 7 screws put into my wrist. the doctor was friendly, the PT was awesome to work with. i broke my wrist on 7/16/11 had surgery on 7/21/11, and my last day of PT was 9/6/11. im at about 90% right now (i still have a broken bone they couldnt fix with surgery, and he said it'd take 3-4 months to heal on its own, and it only bothers me when i try to lift something with my palm facing up), got pretty much all my movement back, good amount of strength, was able to benchpress 165 last week, which im happy with being that my alltime max was 215...lol...a lot quicker process than i expected, and im sure that him being a specialist of the arm/wrist/hand had a lot to do with that...the ER gave me the name of a general ortho to go see...very glad i PM'd kirk first. kirks5oh
pm replied to. tesner does a good job---he's sports specialist who does shoulder and knee. grant jones is the OSU basketball team doctor, and also does all the buckeye football players' shoulder surgeries. also, ken westerheide at cardinal does almost all shoulder injuries. both of them are conservative and will recommend non-operative treatment if it will help. if surgery ends up being necessary, there are no better surgeons in the city for sports-related shoulder issues----period.
