SayNo2Pugs
I own an 06 mustang gt and wondered if anyone had any suggestions. I want loud but not annoying. Something that sounds clean but doesn't cost a fortune. I've kind of found interest in the SLP loudmouths but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions. Steve R.
It really comes down to whether you plan on keeping stock manifolds and cats in the future.
schmuckingham
Magnaflow
Franchi
Really comes down to personal preferance. Offroad H pipe and Flowmaster, Bassani, would sound good. SLP's sound good with a catted mid but horrible with an offroad x or H pipe.

If you go with either the SLP or the Magnaflow (We sell/install many of both) I will get you the best price you can find anywhere online It's practically impossible to make a Mustang sound bad so you will be fine either way IMO. 99FLHRCI
SLP Loudmouth fits what you are stating perfectly in my opinion. Dad had (now my brother's) 2005 GT with that exhaust and it sounded great.

04SVT
Don't know how helpful this is but it's my car 4v with long tubes, no cats, and magnaflow flow throughs. 21/2 piping. I know it's not axle back but might help. If not, oh well.
Got-Boost?
You can listen to just about EVERY setup out there and decide for yourself. http://www.mustangexhaust.com/ Just be careful some of them DRONE like crazy at HWY speeds... SayNo2Pugs
Ok great, thanks for the suggestions. I bought a third party warranty up to 100k miles, so I need to check that first to make sure that adding an exhaust wont cancel it.

kirks5oh
i hate the sound of my SLP loudmouth on my foxbody. if you go with SLP, get the muffler version. i have the powerflow SLP mufflers and they sound great. i've also had great luck with bassani. Franchi
Welcome to swing by and hear what mine 06 GT sounds like. Longtube headers, offroad H pipe to Bassani exhaust. Live by 161 and 71 area.
ponyjr1647545514
i've got the Pypes Violator axle backs, sounded great before the o/r h pipe. i love the way it sounds now but has a lot of pop and crackle.

Welcome to swing by and hear what mine 06 GT sounds like. Longtube headers, offroad H pipe to Bassani exhaust. Live by 161 and 71 area. Had Bassani's on my '07 GT. Stepped it up considerably from stock but without that obnoxious "the cops can hear me from 20 blocks away" noise. Kept the deep exhaust tone (no rasp or drone). If you want something really aggressive, with the rest of the exhaust stock, it might not be for you.
