Travel Tripod Suggestions?

Berto

Recommended Posts

Not really looking to spend over $100 but want something that I can stand behind without crouching down.

I have a nice Manfrotto tripod with a pan head but its just too heavy and bulky. I had another tripod I was using for travel but its just too short and crappy. Any suggestions?

I was looking at this one.

But there are a lot of options.... any references?

I think i'm going to go with that benro, thanks for the find! I just need it to hold my d3100 with smallish lenses. Mostly for hiking/backpacking. I'll still keep my other tripod for sure though.

Just wanted to follow up. I just got this gift from the GF as my Chrismukkah gift and its flipping awesome. You just cannot beat the price and the quality of the tripod. Pretty darn light too for a full size tripod.

What is the weight of all the gear etc? Did you look at the specs on that benro? I use that as my principle tripod (since technically I never shoot in a studio everything is travel, am-rite?) I really really like it. Dad got one too. But then again my heaviest set up is the D3100 with the sigma 10-20.
