A small project - Turning Tahoe into 3rd Row

I had looked for a 3rd-row Tahoe for months. Never quite found what I wanted. Settled on a 2-row. Did a lot of reading, and people were 50/50 whether you could easily/safely add a 3rd row.

Pulling up the rear carpet showed this:

Under each of those gray squares is a threaded, from-the-factory hole:

After scraping all of them out:

Cut pad and carpet in needed places; install this kit in the correct holes:

Buy used seats from CL, score.

I got mint, color-correct leather seats for $200 from CL. The kit was just over $100. Well worth it. If any of you are searching for a 3rd-row vehicle, this may be an option.

I also scored a rear carpeted mat, so when the seats are out, I can put the mat in, covering the brackets. Looks nice and completes the clean install. Kids won't ram their knees into the brackets either.

shoulda pm'd me. I just sold a LT with every single options (except z-71) for 13k. 91k miles

101k miles from an old lady, loaded LT w/ Autoride, 2nd row seats and cargo look never used, not a wrinkle in front leather, inside still smells new somehow, tires with tits still showing, all records, yadda yadda,

$7400.

I did just fine.
