I get that they want to be able to provide for their family, but no one really knows if there is ever going to be an emergency that ever needs those provisions. I got into it a few years back, but I felt like I could just be wasting my time or like these people, wasting their lives, just preparing for something that may never happen or something you don't even want to live through. Some people you could already tell were a little batshit crazy, others seemed really normal surprisingly. one group in south carolina were a bit looney but you could still look at as in they want their family to be completely self-sufficient, regardless of end of the world or not is a pretty good idea. Though there was one bitch in dallas who made me want to throw something at the tv screen. Im sure scotty fucked her, shes totally his type. The whole damn thing is base on "what if". And the answer is no, so just enjoy the life for now. At the end of each show they give scientific 'what it' scenario's a probability of actually happening. Most were like 2-3% chances of actually happening. But in all reality the CDC says every american household should have enough provisions to last 2 weeks without going outside. My guess is if there is some sort of pandemic flu and they shut down all public areas they dont want people to starve or go crazy. which will happen anyway.
