I can't remember what channel had it but there was a series where they would show how all these families were prepared and a 3rd party (survival specialist or something) would evaluate, rate, and give advise on what they need to do to fix the weak parts of their plan/home/shelter.

Anyone know what show that was?

That gives me an idea. For any of you who think you're prepared, I can be hired as a crazy assailant or zombie, etc. to attempt a break-in and theft or assault on your person(s). Please, no live ammo. :p

Aim interested in the show but will be bummed by how little prepared I am for any disaster let alone a zombie apocalypse. I will kick myself the day shit pops off. Maybe I will watch an write down these people's locations so I know where to go get shit if something does happen.

I'm all for being prepared and I do have my own supplies, but these people take it to a hoarder like obsession. I get that they want to be able to provide for their family, but no one really knows if there is ever going to be an emergency that ever needs those provisions. I got into it a few years back, but I felt like I could just be wasting my time or like these people, wasting their lives, just preparing for something that may never happen or something you don't even want to live through. I still like to learn and get new tips though.

Either way I added it to the DVR.

The whole damn thing is base on "what if". I was kinda like you, trying to get prepare, but the I realize if there was a major catastrophe that'll wipe out 2/3 of the world population, do I really want to survive it? And the answer is no, so just enjoy the life for now.

They have two episodes on OnDemand (for atnt anyway) that i watched last night. They were interesting. Some people you could already tell were a little batshit crazy, others seemed really normal surprisingly. one group in south carolina were a bit looney but you could still look at as in they want their family to be completely self-sufficient, regardless of end of the world or not is a pretty good idea. Though there was one bitch in dallas who made me want to throw something at the tv screen. Im sure scotty fucked her, shes totally his type.

At the end of each show they give scientific 'what it' scenario's a probability of actually happening. Most were like 2-3% chances of actually happening.

But in all reality the CDC says every american household should have enough provisions to last 2 weeks without going outside. My guess is if there is some sort of pandemic flu and they shut down all public areas they dont want people to starve or go crazy. which will happen anyway.
