Diamonds
Who on here has had a spa serviced/fixed and who did you use? Mines making a funny noise now when I turn on the main pump. How was your experience?

zeitgeist57
PM me too as a reminder, Bob. I'll get you the guy I work with...I'm out-of-town for work, will need to grab an old invoice at home this weekend. I turned off our hot tub during the winter of '09 and awoke in the middle of a sub-zero night to huge cracking sounds. The lines, filter casing, and a couple of valves cracked due to freezing. I'm a hands-on guy, but our hot tub guy fixed everything for less than $500. Plus, the cover was really old, but he was able to get me another one (perfect fit, but different color) from another job he had for next to nothing. Needless to say, our hot tub stayed on ALL WINTER LONG this year at the lowest thermostat setting. Whatever I lost in electricity bills - not much extra - is made up in not having any other breaks. CLIFFS: Good work, doesn't gouge me on price.
Rocky31186
I too have had a hard time finding a good hot tub company. Luckily I was able to fix mine. I rarely get in it anymore. Waste of water and electric.
zeitgeist57
Waste of water and electric. You know what's an even bigger waste? Having a broken hot tub.
Rocky31186
Very true. But when it does work. And your dumping chemicals in it, keeping the water circulating and heater on, and changing out water every 60-90 days. But only get in 3 times per month. Lol.
