I always love how Mac haters are ALWAYS Windows people. Irony.

I have both and I turn my Mac on about once every 3 months.

I am designer that is supposed to love Macs, I just find them to be slow and overpriced machines.

I tend to think of Macs as more as a status thing nowadays.

I bet I just really hijacked this thread now. :)

There's nothing more frustrating than trying to run 7 applications at once on a Windows machine. Well' date=' maybe some things are more frustrating but I can't think of any at this moment.[/quote']

On my work PC, I always have Photoshop, Illustrator, Omega(a specific design program, Onyx( a very memory hungry RIP program), an internal email program, and Firefox running and never have problems.

My first generation G5 takes 10 minutes to to open a 300 meg tif when Photoshop is the only thing running. Ridiculous.

I build all of my own PCs and know how to set them up as power machines, so that may have something to do with it. When I go to my boss and tell him a new machine is needed, it is a much easier sell to to get a faster machine at half the cost.

I don't hate Macs, just like PC's better. I do hate iPods though....

Technically, the limit on a basic single core 32 bit machine seems to be 8 applications....

Just something I've noticed. I do it all the time. If any one or two get too busy, it will slow down. Past eight, I just fire up a second computer, or a third...

Yeah, I permanently kill dozens of services and apps that don't need to be running all the time in the background. That helps a lot.

And did anyone else enjoy the little sportbike horn festival we put on while waiting in our impromptu race line? I thought it sounded quite majestic....

Couple more pics from the Dayton perspective....

When the north and south crews met up, we pretty much killed that Shell station for about 15 minutes.

I still can't believe no one seemed to take notice that like 10 bikers took over the back of the grocery store at that station waiting for the pisser. Seriously, no one seemed to care that we were loitering back there and making a general ruckus in the back of the store....

Shameless self-promotion shot...

I remember stopping here and distinctly asking Nick where we were. Does everyone remember how confident he sounded? I do....

The little iPhone couldn't fit everyone in the picture when we got there. It was quite a sight.

That's all I got, thanks again to everyone for getting this together, and having it run so smoothly.
