Charged the battery, got another memory card (empty 4gb) formatted it. Also hit the hard reset button.

Seems to be working correct now..

Cool. Believe it or not, it could have been something as simple as a static shock that caused something to go crazy.

What lens are u using, both that you tried.

I really think you might need to take it in to Midwest. I've been doing some serious searching on this issue and can't see to replicate what you are showing.

I would suggest reset to default, drain the battery completely and recharge it ( or replace with a completely different battery) reinstall the firmware and try again.

There is no update to the firmware other than what it came with.

Unfortunatly, I dont have the cash flow to have it inspected. If it was broke for good, It would be sold or sit in the case for months until I can afford to do anything with it.

Seems to be working great now. After a master reset, full battery, and empty memory card.

I did have like 2500 photo's on my 8gb memory card..

The only issue I know of that's similar is when a camera is been exposed to moisture or used in very high humidity environments.

Given it started when he was shooting storms.......
