Supercharged Foose Mustang by PPC

We have had the privilege of working with the owner of this car for the last few years. The car is a 2006 Foose Edition auto car. We originally started out doing a simple custom tune to improve power and shifting performance and the car has grown from there. The next phase ended up being the installation of a set of Ford Racing Hot Rod cams and has recently morphed into the addition of a Kenne Bell supercharger. I have to say, the best part of my job is getting to sit down with customers, create an vision for their car, and then make that vision a reality!

The car started out from Foose with an upgraded cai and a strut tower brace.

This car ends up at a lot of car shows and the 2 stipulations we had with adding the supercharger were that it had to be polished and it had to make good power. No one does that combination better than Kenne Bell!

In keeping with the show car theme, the owner opted to have us fab up a custom 4" intake. 4" mandrel bends were used, all of the joints tig welded, and then the welds were then ground down smooth to provide a nice 1 piece finished look. Once the fabrication was completed the intake was finished off in gloss black.

Of course all of it would mean nothing if the car didnt make any power....And of course, the Kenne Bell setup did not disappoint. The car ended up making 454 horsepower and 394 lb/ft of tq through the automatic transmission with power still climbing very steeply at 6500 rpm. That is a gain of 191 horsepower and 132 lb/ft of tq compared to stock

That power curve makes me think those cams would be happy with a 7500rpm shift point.

Yeah, power just kept climbing. Some of it has to do with the cams and some of it with the KB intake manifold design. Some blower companies are touting longer runners as helping with low end tq. You are going to get plenty low end tq with a positive displacement supercharger anyway so a very short runner like kb uses works very well and allows the motor to keep pulling up top.
