need jeep key fob? jeep dealers?

I just picked up a 01 grand cherokee limited, I do not have the key fob for it and i am under the impression it has to be had at the dealer, correct? If so does anyone here work for a dodge/jeep/chrysler etc dealer that can help me out? I would rather give a fellow CR member (or their place of employment on their behalf) some monies before i just end up at carriage towne.

Yes a Chrysler key fob needs to be programed by the dealership. Normally cost is the key fob and 1/2 hour of labor. Best to find the key fob online for cheaper than the dealership will charge and then you would just have the labor.

i work at the jeep dealer in marysville, if you don't mind driving out here i can help you out.let me know so i can have them look it up before driving all the way out here.
