Welp didn't make IFO. Car wouldn't even spin the tires on the 2 step, so that's the new quandary.

In the mean time, I got it aligned so it actually has a chance of tracking straight.

Always makes me smile when the car gets attention. With the car in that parking spot, no less than 10 people stopped and asked to take pictures. Obviously all male and under the age of 25 lol

Took the car to the track last night to get some shakedown in. Lots of different tweaks needed, but it was good to get the car out and moving down the track under its own power. The 2 Step is Fubar due to some mods I made after the car was tuned last year, but the car runs very well.

To summarize the 2 step issue, I need to drop down the 2 step ADC to a lower value. The in-line Pro-efi clutch sensor only engages the 2 step limiter when you push down FIRMLY on the pedal. If I take the slightest bit of pressure off (even without engaging the clutch) the two step limiter drops off and hits the 9k rpm limiter. Obviously a simple fix, but I didn't have a laptop last night in the truck as it was kind of a last minute decision to head out. I need to get some final things wired, re-clearance some wheel wells, and get it all happy. Glad to say I got one decent burnout in, and I didn't break anything! always a plus

So, why no video of the run?

Fair enough!

Was this a rental or TnT? How was track prep?

Street night... anything past the 1/8 was unprepped.. it's like being on ice in that car!

They have a rental coming up June 6th. The prep at rentals is far superior to street night.

Photo from a fan who saw me at the gas pump! Really like the look of the alumastar drag pack in anodized black!

So you've got a fan club now?

Can I be the president? I'll only ask for a measly salary of low six figures. Should be nothing to a Mk4 owner :p

The dude was 15. Literally came running at me asking if he could take pics. Gotta give photo cred where its due, mane.

Well shit......you had to know that someone would ask

I have found my friends need some lessons in taping as well lol. Everything is shaky and all over. Not sure who I can find to run my camera without looking like they have Parkinson's disease

I've been doing a lot of show and shine/car show stuff lately as I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to the car going down the track. I did manage to get out to a local dyno day at Big 3 Performance and won trophies for Most Torque for an import, and Most HP for an import. It only made 930, which was slightly disappointing, but there were a lot of factors against me. Car got hot, and The ethanol was only at 70% in the tank. Either way, here are some photos as well as the video of the dyno pull. I actually got a small round of applause after, which was un-expected, but we cut the recording off too quickly to get it on film. Big 3 was a lot of fun, and I hope to go again next year.

Dyno Video:

What tires did you use on the dyno? It appears to me to be dr but I thought most dyno shops say not to use dr or slicks

Slicks will get torn up if you use them on a dyno. I was on a M&H drag radial. I use them all the time for the dyno. (they aren't good for much else as they are pretty old and dry). I will say Big 3 is the first dyno around this area I've had good luck getting the car to stick! Very impressed with their setup. No spinning what so ever. If I do remote tuning, they would be a very attractive option.

Got the dyno sheet by chance? Not doubting the numbers, just interested to see it.

I just tossed it in the car. It didn't have a graph or anything, just the peak numbers. 930 and 6xx tq. The original graph is on the video SP did for me at their shop. Its linked on my youtube page under the supra playlist

And for the record, JP's LSJuan RX-7 beat my torque number, so not sure why I got that trophy!

Ha! Thanks for that. ;)

There was so much controversy over what "category" my car was in, they put me in neither. Oh well! No biggie. ;) I just wish I had the opportunity to make more than one pull on base boost-I wanted to turn it up and leave it all there...

Literally! LOL

Nice Meeting you Sunday.
