wnaplay1647545503
How would you go about recording your computer screen so you can allow others to see what your doing. Say I wanted to make a video so I can show someone where/what I clicked on and what I did? Is there a program I need? Need this for a kids school project so he can show classmates hoe he does various things during video games and such. We do have a hauppage that he records games with. Dont need to capture one single screen but record rather.

Mallard
At work I've used camtasia, but you have to pay for it. Although, I think you can get a free ~2 week trial.
jeffro
Do you need to present it live or just record for later use? I used http://camstudio.org/ at work last week and it did a fine job. Its free to boot. There are tutorials on youtube if you cannot figure it out.
Second Gen
I am an IT guy that produces mucho screen shots. The program by TechSmith called SnagIt is a must. They also make the Camstasia mentioned above. http://www.techsmith.com/snagit.html
acklac7
Hypercam is another option, and it's free too. Although I tend to use Camtasia when im recording "school projects". Use the XVID codec for encoding. http://www.hyperionics.com/hc/ http://www.xvid.org/
