zeitgeist57
I just watched the vid... Did you see all those guys take the exit for the Cross-Bronx Expressway and George Washington Bridge when they were buzzing the RR??? WTF were they thinking??? I was all like HOLY SHIT GAIZ! THAT'S LIKE $15,000 IN TOLLS FOR ALL YOU BIKERS!!! You could even see a bunch of them stop at the entrance, thinking "Damn, that dude just killed Kenny...but I don't have $40 to get into Manhattan and back onto the island after kicking this guys' ass..." Dr. Pomade
I'm not saying its not stupid, I'm saying these videos don't portray violent behavior as I thought was suggested. ... Reading comprehension eludes you. I said the other videos, meaning I don't see a pattern of violence as we see in the main video of this thread. No, you said "these videos," not "other videos." Dr. Pomade
I'm who I am...he (Mr Bravo) doesn't affect my choice of words or opinion. It is my own regardless of what any other man, woman, boy or girl may think of it. I know he likes to try to intimidate and wage a war of words and it doesn't impress nor disturb me. Sorry you boys have fear. What I said was true. The videos of prior rides show them being jack asses but I didn't see any violence in any of them that I viewed or skimmed through, like on the original one posted. The bikers are all wrong in the original video and the RR was well within his rights given the situation and I feel he should have never stopped at the end until the police showed up. I would have probably done the same or worse in this situation. Period. I'd just like to add that a lot of women are intimidated by my looks. Mallard
Reading CNN this morning, the wife, sister and mother of the biker who is now paralyzed and in a coma from being run over are quoted several times, with his sister saying that while she does not condone the violence, she is glad that they chased down and caught the the guy in the RR. Then his mom finished with, "...justice has to be served." Justice for WHO?! Are you fucking kidding me?!

He is in critical condition with a crushed spine and two broken legs and may be paralyzed. He has hired a media-savvy lawyer, Gloria Allred. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/10/03/20800978-family-says-suv-driver-in-biker-clash-was-placed-in-grave-danger-by-mob?lite Words cant comprehend how frustrated this makes me that someone would represent a man willing to put a family in harms way. Mallard
It makes me angry that this is turning into another Trayvon Martin situation. I can't believe, especially after watching all the videos, that someone would actually stand up for and portray the bikers as innocent bystanders that were run over by a vigilante. Reading the comments on CNN, Jalopnik, etc. Just feeds my anger and disgust with people. Many are suggesting that the RR driver is at fault because he could have avoided the situation by pulling over to the side of the road and allowing all the bikers to pass by, like they're some type of emergency vehicle, or a parade. I realize that most people are afraid of confrontation and would rather hide in the corner until the storm has passed, but this guy didn't go out looking for trouble. He was minding his own business when he was swarmed by bikes on the freeway. There were over 200 911 calls about these guys BEFORE this incident took place. And after the collision his car is surrounded by bikers standing in the middle of the freeway, beating on his car and slashing his tires (according to police). He had every right to haul assets out of there. If I'm surrounded by hooligans who are yelling and beating on my car, and my TPMS shows my tire immediately goes flat, I'm crushing skulls on my way out of there. Since that's their rationale that the RR driver is at fault because he could have stopped pulled and let the mob do as they please with him and his wife. How about rationalizing that if Edwin Mieses followed the law, he would have never been in this situation. He should have never been riding in the first place since he never had a MC license and his driver license is suspended until like 2017 for 16 or 17 wreckless offenses. Darwin definitly took the day off.

The comments I'm seeing aren't people saying he should have sat there and taken a beating (although a few seem to think that those bikers surrounded his car to calmly discuss exchanging insurance info), they are actually suggesting that he instigated the situation by not pulling off the road when the bikers first showed up. Then they draw a parallel between this and Trayvon by saying that the RR was George Zimmerman, and that he caused the situation because he didn't move to the shoulder until all bikes had passed (like Zim getting out of his truck to 'pursue' Trayvon). sigh This is going to get ugly. So he should have pulled over just because there is a large group of motorcycles??? No.. If they had police support/escort, than yes, I see that. But why would he pull over just because they are on the road? Just look at the way they ride. They are all over the place. I would say that there are higher chances of him causing an accident with these idiots by changing lanes and trying to pull over. He pulled over as soon as he rear ended the bike. And than 20 people storm his SUV. You know they were heated and pissed off bangign on the hood and car. Can't blame him for being scared. 2pointslow
yeah, I would have been swerving everywhere knocking people off bikes and running them into stuff. Stupid ass hats were out looking for trouble and they found it. Some of them just happened to get what they deserved, unfortunately the only thing the RR driver did wrong was miss majority of the group as he monster trucked over a few. Furloaf
Yeah, I was waiting for the Rage Rover driver to swerve and send those bikes into the median divider when they were following him. Motorcycle vs. car, let alone a big SUV, is beyond a stupid challenge. They only were aggressive because they expected the SUV driver to not hit them (I.E. not break the law, abide by the social contract of non-violence, when they themselves are already breaking it. They expect to get away with the agressive law-breaking behavior only on the assumption their targets are such good mannered law-abiding citizens that the target won't use the same tactics in self-defense.) I'm happy this guy called their bluff. Also, I feel no sympathy for dipshits that stand in front a vehicle as a means to halt it, and then get their dumbass self ran over.
