El Karacho1647545492
I have to ask a favor, if there's any Subaru guys here I need to see if you can tell me if a car has had the timing belt/head gasket service done at a dealer. 2005 Forester VIN JF1SG63695G706105 thanks in advance. thorne
You can tell by pulling off a timing cover.

You shouldn't have to worry about head gaskets on an 05.
Cordell
You shouldn't have to worry about head gaskets on an 05. Granted I was only at a Subaru dealer for 10 months, but I've seen every engine have head gaskets leak. I will say that it's mostly the SOHC timing belt engine that I typically saw. Sorry OP can't help you, but doing a timing belt on one isn't a big deal, so if you're in doubt just do one.
thorne
If your going to do it yourself here's my Protip. Drill out the cam bolts and buy new ones.
