The leather was in good shape but i am starting to see the cracking in it. What maintence should i do to keep it looking as good as possible? Rocky31186 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Share Posted March 12, 2014 Typically the cracks mean it is dried out and hasnt had the right conditioner on it... I found a youtube video awhile back on how to deep clean leather seats.. He used a special cleaner (A certain ingredient is to not be in it) A scrub brush. I sprayed the cleaner on, used the scrub brush and it lathered up. Wiped it off with a microfiber and then used some lexol conditioner. Made my seats look GREAT in the SRT.. I use Lexol Cleaner/Conditioner. A little pricey from your local autoparts store, but works great on my fleet of cars that all have leather. Great for older plastics that need a moisture injection. Not for use on "high tech super hard" plastics imo. Einszett Cockpit Premium http://www.detailedimage.com/Einszett-1Z-M46/Cockpit-Premium-P471/500-ml-S1/ General all-around great interior detailer. My go-to most of the time. Sonax Dashboard Cleaner http://www.detailedimage.com/SONAX-M49/Dashboard-Cleaner-P541/250-ml-S1/ The ultimate matte-finish with amazing smell. Great for nav screens, chrome bits, quick wipe-downs, etc. One of my top favorite products. I usually use this last before delivering a car. Otherwise for dirty plastics Megs all-purpose is great before using any of these. Since we are in the Leather thread I will mention the Leatherique Prestine Clean is pretty versatile and can also be used on plastics and vinyl.
