2006 5.9 cummins question

One of the inspectors here in North Dakota has an 06 Dodge with the 5.9 cummins in it. The rear main bearing went out on it and he has it at a dealership in Williston ND. He told me the replacement cost is 15,000 just for the motor and the labor for the install is going to be 3-5 k more.

So he's basically looking at 20k to have a motor put in his truck. Someone please tell me that this is waaayyyyy over the top.

If it is a bullshit number what would the normal cost for something like that be.
