What lens are you shooting these with?

 

Don't be afraid to open the lens up and let the aperture do some work for you. Bokeh can be used very tastefully, and can really make the photos pop. I particularly enjoy the 4th and 5th photo you posted.

I shot all of these with my Canon 17-55 2.8 lens. When I'm doing stuff like this I'm usually shooting in the 2.8-5.6 range in aperture priority.

+1 I like shots 4 and 5. Don't know understand anything else you chums are saying.
