Good restaurants downtown

I have to work tonight downtown on Broad. It's my wife and I's wedding anniversary tonight. We are at J Alexander's last night so not looking for a steakhouse. Looking for something different but that has great food. (Don't care about wine or beer as neither of us drink). It can be upscale or a hole in the wall as long as the food is good. I don't spend lot of time downtown so I don't know all what's down there. What's sone good suggestions?

My wife and I really like Lemongrass. If you are in to Thai / Sushi type stuff it is great. Really like the atmosphere. Might be more casual than you are searching for however.

Have also liked Rigsby's Kitchen..it is much more anniversary-ish. Has live piano music some evenings (probably weekends)

I was going to suggest Lemongrass as well.

Tip Top Kitchen and Cocktails, easily my favorite restaurant downtown. In their own words, "Ohio Comfort Food". They have a meatloaf that tastes exactly like my grandma's.

Came in here to post this. If you're looking for a little more classic, right next door is Due Amici, also good.

Big thing is they are easy walking distance from downtown E. Broad...it's f**king freezing here!

My wife and I really like Lemongrass.

Both places I would and (Lemongrass) have gone back to, which says alot with me since there are so many places I want to try and haven't been to yet.

M @ Miranova for a really nice, anniversary worth dinner.

I've heard good things about Lindeys, but need to make it to there.

You should visit the Elevator sometime, but when you want a steak again as the rock filet, their signature dish, is a ton of fun. I can't say enough about the interior of this place. Lots of original parts of the building from the late 1800s.

Tip Top has really great food for reasonable prices.

Dirty Franks is NOT some place you go on anniversary, unless you both hold hot dogs so dearly in your heart. But if you do like hot dogs, you do need to go sometime.

The Pearl is good.

I second G. Micheals. Also, Black Creek Bistro, Barcelona, or The Elevator. If you want a small, dive kinda feel, go to Skillet.

Skillet is closed today thru Feb. 4th

Elevator is delicious!

There menu looks delicious! Made reservations for tonight. Thanks for this. Exactly what I'm looking for.

Everyone else thank you. Made note of your recommendations. We will be downtown every Wednesday for the next six weeks so it looks like we can try them all out.

My favorites that others have said: Barcelona, G Michaels, Rigsby's, The Rossi

The Pearl, right next to Lemongrass.

Great small plates/appetizers, amazing seafoods (oysters, clams, shrimp) prepared a few different ways. I really love their raw oysters. They're fresh, they typically have at least 3 different types, though I've seen as many as 7.

If seafood's not your thing, but you want to do upscale, Lindeys is amazing. Without a doubt the best service experience I've ever had in Columbus. The food is original, amazing, and well portioned (not too much not too little). The servers are professionals and know what it is to provide a fine dining experience without looking down their nose at you.

Lastly, I'd suggest trying out The Table some time. It's another place my gf and I will go to order a smorgasbord of small plates and eat off each other's plates.

Definitely not one of the better known places, but it should be.

If anyone goes to Lindey's, ask to have Trey as your server, and tell him DJ sent you in to him. My dude will take care of you, fo sho.
