We are at J Alexander's last night so not looking for a steakhouse. Looking for something different but that has great food. (Don't care about wine or beer as neither of us drink). It can be upscale or a hole in the wall as long as the food is good. I don't spend lot of time downtown so I don't know all what's down there. What's sone good suggestions? Might be more casual than you are searching for however. Have also liked Rigsby's Kitchen..it is much more anniversary-ish. Both places I would and (Lemongrass) have gone back to, which says alot with me since there are so many places I want to try and haven't been to yet. M @ Miranova for a really nice, anniversary worth dinner. I've heard good things about Lindeys, but need to make it to there. You should visit the Elevator sometime, but when you want a steak again as the rock filet, their signature dish, is a ton of fun. I can't say enough about the interior of this place. Lots of original parts of the building from the late 1800s. Tip Top has really great food for reasonable prices. Dirty Franks is NOT some place you go on anniversary, unless you both hold hot dogs so dearly in your heart. But if you do like hot dogs, you do need to go sometime. Great small plates/appetizers, amazing seafoods (oysters, clams, shrimp) prepared a few different ways. I really love their raw oysters. They're fresh, they typically have at least 3 different types, though I've seen as many as 7. If seafood's not your thing, but you want to do upscale, Lindeys is amazing. Without a doubt the best service experience I've ever had in Columbus. The food is original, amazing, and well portioned (not too much not too little). The servers are professionals and know what it is to provide a fine dining experience without looking down their nose at you. Lastly, I'd suggest trying out The Table some time.
