El Karacho1647545492
And then this happened.. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/03/12/bbc-cancel-top-gear-season-clarkson-fracas-report/?ncid=edlinkusauto00000016 One has to wonder if they've planned this; seems waaaay too quick to make such a judgement. Trouble Maker
One has to wonder if they've planned this; seems waaaay too quick to make such a judgement. I'm sure they did. For a show this large, how would you not have contingency plans out the wazoo in general, especially for likely scenarios?
unfunnyryan
Just bring them all over here, plenty of fun stuff for them to do.. "NEXT... ON TOP GEAR... JAMES MAY CALLS JEREMY A COCK AND GETS FINED $40,000 BY THE F.C.C. JEREMY CALLS A TESLA RUBBISH, AND HAMMOND TAKES A ARMORED MERC THROUGH 200 MILES OF GANG CONTROLLED MEXICO"
CRed05
The hacker group Anonymous has threatened the BBC with a DDoS attack on the corporation's website if Clarkson is not reinstated.http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2015/3/13/BBC-Beware-Anonymous-Are-Pissed-About-Clarkson-7725902/ http://cdn.carbuzz.com/images2/470000/1000/0/471003.jpg

Trouble Maker
How many people would be raging about him needing to be suspended if he had punched and hurt the producer and not be suspended? Anon's cry's for equality and freedom are going to start falling on deaf ears if they start worrying about things like suspended TV show personalities. I can personally get behind a lot of their causes and their methods, but this seems a little... beneath them?

ImUrOBGYN
All BS. This is simply due to the Supercar Powers That Be don't really want to be compared to each other and the BBC and Top Gear really only had 7 episodes for this season. ... And I wish that all were true.
Geeto67
It's a little suspicious that all this happened 1 month before he and hammond had to renegotiate their contracts: http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-31869967 Also apparently he self reported? fishy. mrs.cos
And now he has quit http://m.autoevolution.com/jeremy-clarkson-quits-top-gear-show-cancelled-for-good-93287.html Petrolheads all over, ladies and gents that enjoyed Top Gear's "ambitious but rubbish" take on all things automotive, it pains us to announce that Jeremy Clarkson calls it quits in his column in The Sun. In a piece titled "So we lose the tiger... but gain acid-spit snail," Jeremy Clarkson talks about nature's battle against extinction and the future of the Top Gear trio. Without further ado, this is how Jezza broke the silence in his most recent column for the tabloid: "I THINK it’s fair to say that nature made a mistake when it invented the dinosaur. It was too big, too violent and with such small and puny arms it was never going to be able to operate heavy machinery or even enjoy a bit of special “me” time." Pretty easy to understand, but we haven't even got to the most tear-jearking part yet. “All the dinosaurs died and now, years later, no-one mourns their passing. These big, imposing creatures have no place in a world which has moved on.” What these two lines point at is the dying of Top Gear as a show and how the presenter will have to move on. Despite 880,000-plus signatures for the #BringBackClarkson petition, Jezza suggests that all our efforts were in vain: “You can start as many campaigns as you like and call on the support of politicians from all sides, but the day must come when you have to wave goodbye to the big monsters, and move on.” This is the end and we can't do anything about it... Fingers crossed other British broadcasting companies will bite his arm off and Clarkson will convice May and Hammond to start a new motoring show from square one. It will be hard to convince those two to jump on the bandwagon, but it won't be impossible. Even if not for May and Hammond, if Jeremy will make a pay-per-view YouTube channel and continue filming car reviews, it'll still be enough to soothe our fevered petrolhead brows. Best of luck, Jezza! UPDATE: Captain Slow confirmed that Top Gear is kaput in a not-so-cryptic manner. UPDATE 2: The Mirror reports that "Jeremy Clarkson called Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon 'a lazy Irish ****," and that "Clarkson ranted for half an hour then punched him in the mouth - he was bleeding and dizzy so he had to go to hospital." In related Jeremy Clarkson news, bbc.co.uk was offline this afternoon, possibly because digital protest group Anonymous threatened an attack on the site a few days ago. So; it's been a week, and still no answer. CRed05
Ugh...I was really hoping to try and catch a taping of Top Gear when I go to London later on this year. With numbers like this, it would be unwise for them to cancel that show. http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/mar/16/bbc-top-gear-jeremy-clarkson-suspension Also, http://jalopnik.com/jeremy-clarksons-i-quit-top-gear-column-is-from-1999-e-1691668505

Rally Pat
Allegedly Clarkson is getting fired tomorrow, but may immediately be signing a deal with Netflix after. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/11493270/Jeremy-Clarkson-to-be-sacked-by-the-BBC.html
CRed05
Well that sucks. Just kill Top Gear, it's done. Don't try to replace JC because you can't. Hoping the Netflix deal works out.
carl1647545492
They will do a deal with Netflix because Netflix needs it the world wants to see it and Clarksons ego wants it.

mrs.cos
Official. http://www.theguardian.com/media/live/2015/mar/25/bbc-will-not-renew-jeremy-clarkson-contract-live-updates It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly. I have done so only after a very careful consideration of the facts and after personally meeting both Jeremy and Oisin Tymon. I am grateful to Ken MacQuarrie for the thorough way he has conducted an investigation of the incident on 4th March. Given the obvious and very genuine public interest in this I am publishing the findings of his report. I take no pleasure in doing so. I am only making them public so people can better understand the background. I know how popular the programme is and I also know that this decision will divide opinion. The main facts are not disputed by those involved.
El Karacho1647545492
Honestly, I can't wait for the next chapter. BBC UK got stale to the point that I no longer eagerly tuned in, I'd wait for people to tell me whether or not it was worth watching.
