Green Bastard
Just brought it home, its an 86 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. She needs some work (cleaned up mostly) but the miles are low. Just something for me to put around town comfortably on this spring/summer. Sorry if the pics are huge/shitty, I am posting this from my phone. http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w392/uummm1/Mobile%20Uploads/20150316_193506_zpsokjhepaf.jpg http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w392/uummm1/Mobile%20Uploads/20150316_193450_zpshiod4cae.jpg The miles are original miles. http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w392/uummm1/Mobile%20Uploads/20150316_193533_zpshrbae9nt.jpg

Sturg1647545502
uhh, well, yea that thing is a pile. What's the backstory? Go over it with a fine tooth brushing device before deeming it roadworthy. Looks like the fuel tank is newer, so hopefully no rust inside but I can only imagine the condition of the brake lines. Green Bastard
Holy rust batman. Hope you have a tetanus shot Yeah, up until last year it sat since '90. I convinced the po to let me take it and get it running for him again (good friend of my dad I have known since I was a child, also the original owner). The carbs have been rebuilt and the bike completely gone through by a professional to make sure it is safe to ride. Mechanically it is perfect, and for the next few weeks I am going to start taking things apart to clean it up. I will try to clean up some of the oxidation on some of the cast aluminum parts, the crash bar is coming off, try to clean some of the chrome that can be cleaned. Next winter I plan to paint the fenders and take it further apart and really clean/replace some stuff.
Green Bastard
Tank is original and clean on the inside too, also the rear brakes are mechanical and the fronts have been rebuilt/replaced.
zeitgeist57
Ryan, what's the story of the other bike? Is that yours? Does it run?
Green Bastard
The other bike (82 Honda Magna v45) belongs to a friend of mine. Also rebuilt the carbs for him, but still needs some work. It does run (has not been started since before winter though), but not currently rideable. Last I talked to him it is for sale, but it has been since October since I have spoken to him.
