Are you having the cams degreed to a something other than stock?

Yeah. Guy in circlevile did them. valve covers intake ect just sitting on the motor. Going to gasket it all in the morning. Also picked up a magnaflow catback for it.

Looking good man! Also this was a fast build thread haha, most are up for YEARS.

Yeah it's nice out and I want to drive it lol. Hope to have motor and trans on by next weekend.

Anyone know what the oil priming procedure is for this motor?

The engine will not turn fast enough to build oil pressure. You just fire it up. Should have pressure in couple seconds.

Where did they set the cams at?

There is a 4V cam guru that is in Xenia.

He also ports the intakes.

Couldn't that make the chains jump?

Also no clue. Told him to set it at what he thinks is best for a na setup like mine.

Thought about having the heads and intake ported but decided against it. Probably just run this motor for the year and either build the other block I have or do a coyote swap.

Very tempted to try a 100 shot on this car. Never messed with nitrous so a little Leary on it.

This seems the way to go anymore. AmericanMuscle have complete engines for $6-7k.

I've had mine engine out way too many times and never had my chains jump.

Did you provide them with adjustable gears or sprockets.

Did they say they had to grind the key ways down?

Got the motor and trans in the car last night. Ended up going in from the top. Long tubes and trans together. Actually went in fairly easy.

Got the driveshaft back in it tonight along with the mid pipe and catback on it. Installed the tri-ax shifter put on the heater hoses, removed the old clutch cable setup, going to try and get the intake on the motor Sunday and the harness all hooked up. Getting closer!

Also picked up some tires for weekend fun.
