The new autocross car. Doubt it will be ready for a event for a little while. Motor is just about ready to come out. This one is c head swapped with mach 1 intake. Guy swaped it never tuned it and broke it. Has a rod knock. Need to get the motor out and torn apart to see the damage done and go from there. Debating on picking up a mark 8 motor, putting the c heads on it and put that into the car for the year and build a nice shortblock over winter for the car. Would love to eaton swap this one. Also need to pull the drag shocks off the back and ditch the sport lines that are in it. Headlights as well. There hideous. Cut the whole exhasut out as well. Had a hacked up x pipe on it and delta flows.

Now I'm at the point where Im about ready to put the new motor together. I'd like to degree the cams but I don't know how to do it. Anyone know someone who has the tools to do so and wants to make some money doing it for me?

Nice project u got there. I miss my 98. On a side note what did u use on the motor compartment to clean it?

Purple power and a diesel powered heated power washer

What is the new motor? is the motor that came out a teksid?

Mark 8 shortblock. Don't know. No block number. All gone then there's a new number engraved on it. Pretty sure it's a re man ford motor.

Had the heads check out. There good to go. Ordered the timing component kit, head gaskets, and head bolts. I'll pick up the other gaskets local. Decided I'm going to put long tubes on the car. Going to get the motor all together and pull the k member. Figure be easier to drop the car onto the k member with the motor and trans already together. Suggestions?
