Whats a kick stand, real bikes dont have those!

He will be ready for Alum Creek Phase 0 and Phase 1 in no time!

Haha! Kickstands in the burbs are better than bikes falling over hitting cars. Especially my cars :p I also don't want him dropping a $450 bike down on the ground. At least let him / the bike earn the marks it will get.

So of course it was now time to upgrade my daughter from a small kids bike to one that she too could use for the next couple years.

My sons Diamond Back came from Performance Cycle on Sawmill but this time I decided to hit the Trek Store.

The nice thing about Trek is they give you 50% of the purchase price back when you "upgrade" and with kids, that's definitely a given to occur. That made this bike a great value, especially given the 1000% difference when compared to the typical $120 Wal-mart Bike.

She's loving it and doing great on a much larger bike that has gears. She was so excited to try it out I had to LOL at her mixing and matching clothes just to get out of the house and ride :)

That's the look of pure joy.

Also looks like the size bike she can grow into as well.

Yeah, as a father I was pleased to see the joy the results from being fortunate enough to bring the kids all we have.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I honestly was with my daughter as she is only 9 and really does take care to protect and care for the things we've given her. Nick is 12 and does for sure, but a bicycle for a kid of 9yrs isn't always their first pride and joy but she sure likes to ride around.

This one does allow for a couple years of growth that's for sure.
