I bought V8 Beast's WS6, broke it about 3 weeks after purchasing it, and now it's back together and running again.

After arriving in Houston for TX2K15:

Broken down in Mississippi County, Arkansas. (Which apparently was crystal meth capital of the US and the worst place to break down)

My brother drove down that night to pick us up; not even 50 miles later, we blew a tire on the trailer and had to creep to a tire shop.

Lifter and Cam were toast

Now it's all back together. Put LS7 lifters in it and replaced the cam with the same one it had. It has the SS wheels on it for the TX2k trip, Zach has my wheels on his car, we still need to swap back.

Stripes came off the night I brought it home. The wheels are going to be back on it soon

Good for you, Stripes on a 4th gen TA just look tacky (white with blue T/A special editions excluded).

Respectfully have to disagree.

Great purchase. I also wanted it badly, but just couldn't bring myself to sell my car to get it. Good choice on removing the stripes also! Pewter has really grown on me over the last year or so, I think it looks great with chrome/polished wheels.

I will admit that looks better than most, esp the ones that end with little screaming chicken decals, but it's just not my thing.

I remember when the 4th gens were new cars and how much they tried to "retro" them with things like rallye stripes, screaming chicken hood decals, houndstooth interiors, etc... Instead of just letting the cars be their own thing in the f body lineage. It makes sense with the new car since that is a retro model from tires to roof, but the 4th gens were so uniquely styled it always felt like GM was trying too hard.

The ws6 t/a is already a very aggressively styled car, I've always felt adding anything on top of that is just too much. Either way it's a really nice clean f-body.

You don't worry about shit floating around in the engine and wrecking bearings after you round out a lifter on the cam? That's my biggest fear with this AFM bullshit valvetrain I've still got.

Beautiful car too.

Thanks everyone. I was always a big fan of black vehicles and was going to change the color to that eventually, but the pewter has really grown on me, so it'll be staying. Looks wise I'll probably get polished wheels and maybe tint. Depending on how much side work I get this summer will determine on the upgrades I get. Building the bottom end over the winter is what I'm shooting for though.

Nice job Duff glad to see you back in the car world too.. shit we are old

Thanks man. That Camaro is sick, congratulations!

Yeah, age is getting depressing
