zeitgeist57
Before I go to CL or Car-parts.com (I see a 1991 F150 at Central City), wanted to check with the best & brightest on CR... My 1982 F100 sounds like its gnawing on a bearing inside the tranny when I'm in 3rd gear (it's the Ford T-18 RAT 3.03 3-speed manual). I've taken this thing in and out of my simple tee-ruk a few times, but before I rebuild an old tranny I'd like to look at the Mazda 5-speed in F150s from the early 90s. Does anyone know of a donor tee-ruk that I can get the transmission and hydraulic clutch assembly? Thank you!
Patterson
What about a SROD from a late 80's F150?
Cordell
Why wouldn't you take the current trans apart and see how big of a deal it'll be to fix, then decide what the best choice is? Unless you really want to put the forth all the extra effort to convert it, I bet you can fix what you have much easier.
