Anyone know if 84 lumber will sell in small quantities or if i need to buy in bulk? I am really just looking for a single sheet of 5' X 5' X 1/2" baltic birch plywood. Menards and lowes doesnt seem to have it on their website.

84 OR Contract should be able to take care of that for you.

It would be like this http://feelthehome.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Wooden-Dining-Room-Chair-Furniture.jpg

I can get more dimensions tonight if someone is interested

What about something like this? See 8th picture down. The plan calls for 25" seat height but that could easily be shortened.

The issue with chairs is they are fairly labor intensive. You'd be much better off finding one done and then modifying it to the size you need. Unless you want a 2x4 frame with a flat plywood seat..

I think the design i posted above could be done for less than $15 bucks (pine) and a few hours of work. I don't mind the labor part as i find it to be somewhat therapeutic.

What he said. So you need seat height to be exactly 14.25? Child size i am assuming.

Yeah it's for a antique kids rolltop desk. The chair with it is extremely dangerous and looks like it has been cobbled together a million times. The exact details don't really matter as much as the whole design of the chair.

That's awesome, I could build one of those, 14" seat height too. My problem is I have remodeling tools, not really woodworking tools

No router, no table saw, etc etc

Ah, thought those were considered remodel tools

If you can wait a few days, ill build one for you. Started a router table last night that is taking up a good portion of my "shop*"

*Shop is defined as a corner of the basement with tarps hanging from the ceiling to keep the dust in. lol.

I think I will try those easy plans you posted.

When I post a pic that looks like this

Made some progress on the router table. Got all the pieces cut and started assembly. I did find a few mistakes in the plan that left me scratching my head for a few minutes.

One of the things we always wanted in our shop was a panel saw. But no room for something that size. We would always cut sheets of plywood with the table saw. I saw this design earlier today. I may be adding this to my basement shop sometime soon.

Made some headway on the router table this evening. I would have liked to have finished it but I spent a good deal of time assembling and tuning the new table saw. That thing is a beast compared to my rockwell.

Today while at restore I found a large sheet of double sided 3/4 la minted particular board for $5. Couldn't pass it up and made a top out of it. Also used it to make the face of the fence which I hope to complete tomorrow.

The plan for tomorrow is to get the fence installed then run the electricals. I am going to put one of those single switch / outlet combos to turn it on and off. The router has a button lock so I don't have to worry about using a ziptie, which is nice. Maybe try to find a trim strip or something to put around the edge to cover up my shit ty cuts. Any ideas?

For a simple little table that looks great. You might consider using something like this attached to your fence for dust collection.

If you do, I'd wire in an external outlet to plug in a shop vac. That way when you hit the switch to turn on the router it will turn on the shop vac at the same time.

Yeah i definitely need to get dust collection under control. At this time i have zero.

Side note, any where locally to get a link belt? I replaced the stretched belt that came with my saw but the new one was out of round too. Just enough to be annoying.
