I have been working on several things, some are bonafide builds while some are repurposing.

Here is a repurposed piece I made. I found the piece on a street ready to go to the dump. Picked it up and spent 20 bucks on some supplies.

I like that!

Aquarium stand is coming along. So the plans i posted on Saturday were a bit off lol. Somewhere I left out a rabbet dimension or something and so everything was way too long (better than too short i guess). Last night i spent a good amount of time running dados and rabbets to get everything to snugly together. That router table i built earlier this year has really come in handy.

Potato quality photo showing progress. The plan now is to sand everything, paint/stain(cant decide on a finish) then run corner trim down the corners to cover up the seems. Oh, and fix the door back on.

Note to self for future builds: ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS double check board dimensions before assuming theyre equal. I picked up two pieces of 1x4x8 and only after gluing them found out that one was like 3.35" wide instead of 3.5.

Made some time today to finish the aquarium stand. Sorry for potato quality pics.

Started today by making a door. Took a 1x6, ripped it down to 1x2 actual. Cut a dado down the center and then cut the panel using the router table and a 1/2" straight but. The corners arent 100% but theyre pretty damn close.

Took the body outside for a sand and paint. Aldo added corner trim to cover up the ugly looking rabbet joints. Used some brass hardware to hang the door and used a brass pull handle. The door latches via magnet. I found this dime sized magnet that is strong as hell so I counter-sunk it into the main body, then used a screw head on the inside of the door to give the magnet something to latch onto. Pretty much done at this point.

And lastly, an unfocused photo i took in the dark of the stand with the tank on it.

Made a quick vanity for the spare bath http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160423/4e5f50e103bf6895c154c751ee6de46e.jpg

Still needs a backsplash, shower torn out, etc...

You made the vanity? Nice. Your next project should be to make my kitchen a set of shaker cabinet doors haha

Send me some pics :)

Yeah it took a couple hours to make this one and a similar one for our master. And I am not paying $300 for a particle board vanity. I spent less than that on this whole setup. I'm not sold on the iron pipe TP holder but it will do for now. It was a better idea in my head. We'll see after I paint it. It is just primed currently

Never trust old untouched wood. Or the Amish apparently.

My planer made the nail pretty smooth before getting chipped.

I even have a metal detector for that reason. Stupid mistake.

Moving on. Starting the glue up for a pub style table. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160507/4aa2935fc7997d8d9f2f881267be6bfb.jpg

I'm gluing the top up in pairs easier final glue up. They will be further dimensioned so not too concerned with dead even clamping pressure. A straight edge says it's good for now.

I started with 8/4 oak

Nice work! Sorry about the planer blades.

Thanks. Yeah it sucked but lesson learned. At least they are reversible

With some upcoming projects I desperately need more room to work in my garage. I'm constantly moving motorcycles, mower, yard tools, etc.

Monday I just started digging and ended up here

I'm winging it so progress slowed by end of week as I had to actually start thinking. I should have the walls and roof sheathing done today. Then make a window, door, and pick up shingles.

Anyone interested in some equipment? This really pains me but i am moving to an apartment for the unforeseeable future soon and cant take this stuff with me.

Things i might be selling:

-90's Craftsman table saw. Cast iron and heavy as shit. 9/10 condition. Upgraded link belt and a bosch kerf blade. Comes with the original manual and sales receipt from 1996 or whatever. Original throat plate and a zero clearance throat plate i made will also be included. Have a HF featherboard i can throw in too. The wheels that came with the stand were junk so i pitched them and built a rolling dolly system for it. Looks like this but in 100X better shape http://columbus.craigslist.org/tls/5690550564.html

-Router table. DIY. Photos posted in this thread a while back. Powered by a craftsman router. I believe i have 2 sets of bits for it. A roundover bit set and a straight bit set. Comes with a rolling stand thing i built.

-Disc sander. DIY. Photos also posted in this thread a while back. 1/3HP motor i believe. Could use some paint.

Just a feeler at this point. Havnt quite come to terms with letting this stuff go yet.

Anyone interested in doing an easy build for me? I need to get the platform for the back of my truck bed built. Looking for a platform that covers the whole bed, about 12 to 18" in height. I'm looking to have two drawers pull out of the bed from the middle section and two lift up trap door sections above the wheel wells. I can compensate with cash.
