  1. 1. Clean 1978 Lincoln for dirt cheap?

    • Sure! Land yachts are cool to cruise.

    • Nope. Waste of space and money.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

This is where my head's at. I always wanted a land yacht for at least a little while, but didn't want to make a bodywork project out of one, or tie up $teens in one. This is a great way to get a very well-maintained but somewhat odd-duck representation of that bygone era. Looking forward to cruising.

Thanks, Ryan! I have an evening dinner I need to be back for, and unfortunately the drive is almost 3 hours each way...I need to leave by end-of-morning to make this work.

"Cleetus-money" ;).

Oh hell yes. I'd rock the shit out of this car. Always keep a fur coat in the back seat at all times.

That 2 tone is sick. I need interior shots ASAP.

So, did you get somebody to help? I had a similar issue last week. Sucked as I ended up doing a shitload of driving.

I struggled this morning to find a co-pilot when the trip was 3-hours each way, understandably. Now that it's only 75 miles away, I got a few friends. :) Transportation is scheduled and I should have the car in a couple of hours.:thumbup:

Texted pics.

I like your style: $1500 Lincoln, $15,000 full-length fur coat and matching fedora.

One of the many reasons I bought a car trailer, so I can be self sufficient. It sucks everyone is always busy when I need a hand, now they can go eat a dick when they need a trailer. :fuuuu:

lol

Picked up "Bunny" (as my daughter named it for the fur-like velour interior) this afternoon, amazingly beautiful day for a 70-75mph cruise back. Now, I'm going out with another couple for a night on the town. Pics to come! :)

Awesome. I'd feel like I would have to wear character-specific if not period specific clothing while in that car.

For example: lol

Hell yeah I'd rock it but I'm a little fucked up like that. Three are a lot of 80's era cars that could be pretty cool with a little bit of work and cleaning up. Hell I'd still love to find a 78 cordoba like my dad had when I was a kid. Nothing like floating down the road at 80 mph in perfect comfort, and don't get me started on the cushy couch like interiors of the day.

I like it, I'm more impressed by older clean vehicles that are daily driven then most anything new these days. Older vehicles actually have style to them. Not like the boring plastic butter containers that you pass on the road that every tom, dick and Harry are driving.

Drove by a country road in Salem, OH...saw this thing for sale in the driveway. Called the number, offered $1500, got the OK from my wife, picked it up Saturday afternoon.

Been driving it all weekend with a shit-eating grin on my face. :D

400/C6...coil springs all around, 4-wheel discs with a 9" rearend. Rides amazingly, turns heads. Super fun Car!!!
